Because that's who those men spend the most time with. Men might not care about a woman's career, but a woman's career does put her in close proximity to those men.

Edit: Yeah so just because men don't actively care about it, doesn't mean that it's not beneficial for women to get good careers anyway.

Women's careers don't matter when it comes to sex.

Women's careers matter, as well as sexual attraction matters, when it comes to marrying/making kids/trusting a woman with your life and livelihood.

Actually it's not even really her career. It's her educational level, her socioeconomic status, her socioeconomic class, her past work history that matter. "Career" is shorthand for these. And these things in turn are proxies for future time orientation, mental stability, emotional stability, intelligence, problem solving ability, prioritization ability, critical thinking, and executive functioning.

When men say "women's careers/achievements/accomplishments don't matter", they are referring to her sexual attractiveness. That's all they're referring to.

Because a woman's career certainly does matter these days. For most folks a decent middle class life requires two good jobs. I have no problem paying my half of the bills but a woman needs to be able to cover her half if she wants to be considered LTR material.

Also, I've casually dated a couple of hairstylists -- we didn't have much in common. A roughly equivalent level of education is required for a mutually satisfying relationship.

Well firstly, I do know professional men who are married to working class women.

Secondly, its a matter of actually being able to meet these people in the first place. Your fast food workers aren't hanging out in the same places as doctors. Docs mostly marry other docs (and I have many friends and family who are docs) purely because of the length of their education and training mixed with the hellish unsociable hours.

Because they have more in common and are in proximity to each other, but if the woman were to suddenly lose her job or go work in some other, lower paid/status field she wouldn't become less attractive to the man.

Because men pass way more time in their jobs/study interacting with women in the same standing as him, explaining why most are in the exactly same career or physical location. Seriously. Did you even need to ask?

Most doctors marry nurses, doctors or patients (in that order). Most businessman marry their secretaries, their directors or women working close him. Same with engineers. Most marry the attendants in their firm or other engineers.

Men are not women. They have limited resources and cannot be always trying the best woman. So they try the closest ones first as they cannot just spare the resorces to go far. That is why most man marry women physically close to him. Thats why we say "all your male friends want to fuck you". It is because they are and we are just lile him.

What did you drink to not see it? Ugly woman and disabled woman face literally the same problem and behave similarly.

The simple answer to your question is that whoever the man is surrounded by is who he is most likely going to end up with. The woman's job title is irrelevant for the most part.

Because a college, university or whatever is a great place to meet people, and similair interest is a great starting point for a relationship.
