Gold diggers and sperm trappers are pretty damn infamous. I'm not sure who you're talking to who thinks their choices are something to be encouraged.

That said, no, it's not rape, not even rape by deception. It's being a shitty human being, which - unfortunately - isn't illegal.

no, but its hilarious that you think these women had to be at all devious to get some dumb guy to knock them up. it is 1000x easier to just straight up say "no condom" or even to just have sex with no mention of protection at all, which is probably how most of these supposed "entrapment" pregnancies happen.

you seriously overestimate how much thought men put into protection in the heat of the moment. which is why i think its funny when guys act like women are running around really plotting to trick guys into pregnancy.

i could be knocked up by a multimillionaire within a month and set for life and all it would take is to just bang one a few times during my fertile week and not bring up bc or condoms at all because most guys will happily bone unprotected if you don't force the issue.

like wow you really think women are turkeybastering sperm out of used condoms when really they're just laying there and getting fucked by some dumb horny guy who happens to have money/clout.

I don't know who these people are (except drake, shout out to shitty canadian highschool dramas) but yes, people who intentionally sabotage or lie about birth control and thus gain consent under false pretenses should be punished criminally. Sounds really difficult to prove, though

If it’s a problem, and one that could be legitimately sussed out in an actual court of law, I don’t think it should go under the category of “sex crime” akin to rape. I don’t want criminal sex crimes being gray areas more than they already are. There’s been a few states who have tried to get stealthing laws passed already and I don’t think they passed. I am conflicted on it because it’s obviously fraudulent in nature but I’m not sure we should make it a crime akin to assault/rape.

They are though. I am fairly certain there is a lot of hip-hop lyrics and there is even a term called "gold digger" to describe these types of people.

So in lieu of the Drake baby momma reveal, I’ve been on a rant in my circle about how society handles women who explicitly date to rob a man of his wealth, or intentionally get pregnant (non-consensually) to trap him in a legal obligation to provide for her and the child for 18 years.

Drake is a seemingly astute celebrity who chose to have raw sex where he finished inside of a woman whom he would be embarrassed to call the mother of his child.

Drake could have avoided this by using condoms with groupies, porn actresses, and strippers.

But for reasons I do not understand ^sarcasm male celebrities continue to have raw, baby-making type sex with women they just met who specifically target them for access and clout.

I do not feel bad for Drake.

It's actually pretty easy to not impregnate someone you don't want.

Society will never punish this, because every child born is a future (hopefully) taxpaying, working citizen.

So every future taxpayer born, regardless of the means of conception, must be provided for until they can pay taxes, and society has determined the father is the one who must provide. That last part is the real issue here.

Its not rape, its reproductive coercion - and you can fix most of this by fixing your fucked up child support rules. Set a maximum amount of around $500/md. That's how other Western countries are handling it, and as far as I know we don't have all those issues.

What lower tier of society can we put black single moms? They are already widely considered gold diggers and are disparaged for choosing low-life, abusive mates (and rightfully so). But there isn't much more we can do to punish them in the court of public opinion.

A more interesting question is, at what point does attraction towards status equate to gold-digging? Status sensitivity with regards to attraction occurs in all women.

With regards to your rape question, it should be considered fraud, not rape. But absolutely punishable.

women don't need to be convicted of anything in these cases. they just need to know the law won't be on their side and they'll be 100% financially responsible, legally speaking, to care for the children on their own. it's not a crime to use the law in your favor. the law just shouldn't work in their favor that way.
