I keep hearing anecdotal stories from some guy friends living in the city (New York) that many women there are looking for the "complete package": tall (6"+), good looking, athletically built, and making a good salary, and other qualities like no smoking, certain racial preferences etc. This is amplified with Tinder and Match, which women are able to shop for men like a kid in a candy store.

The problem is that you are cutting out a large portion of the population....

Do you think this is true? Does the allure of money and power "cultivate" female hypergamy? Do you think with social media, it has gotten out of control?
