This post feels to me like it is equivocating between "not wanting sex" and "deliberately not having sex with your partner to get what you want."

If you are trying to make someone who doesn't want sex with you feel dread so they force themselves to have sex with you anyway, you're an asshole with a terrible sex life. If you're dating someone who is deliberately not having sex with you to control you, then DUMP THE MOTHERFUCKER ALREADY.

Here's my issue: women don't want to weaponize/withhold sex anymore than men want to use dread. We want a healthy sex life too, we enjoy sex too (well I'd imagine most, I can't speak for all women). Hence you could argue that there's really something else precipitating this. I too have made the comparison between active dread and intentionally withholding sex -- but saying dread is necessary here means you also have to believe withholding can be necessary.

Saying dread game is necessary for getting his needs met and thus, acceptable, means you also agree that if she's not getting her needs met, withholding is an acceptable tactic for doing so.

OTOH, if she is withholding because she has lost attraction, that is a different thing entirely, she is not "weaponizing sex" she just isn't all that attracted anymore. Frankly I don't think active dread will reinstill attraction in that many women.

Not getting what you want from a relationship, no matter what that is, is frustrating. If your not married and have value your probably better off walking away. Sometimes though you want to stay. If a woman is actively weaponizing sex (and I will be frank in I think this happens very rarely) rather than any other reasons people may not be having sex, then I can see how it would be effective.

Insecurity is a bit of a dirty word on Reddit, it comes across as black and white and the person who is insecure always has issues and is at fault. Which is quite short sighted, behind every crazy person showing insecurity, there are events and people that created it. Dread creates insecurity.

Taking those points into account, the only real issues I have with TRP's dread is;

Many time there is no point, find someone else who meets your need.
TRP Totally disregards other proven methods, meaning its easy to...
Misdiagnose as 'weponizing sex' rather than again, all the other reasons sex isn't happening, and for many of those so much as simply talking can resolve.
TRP doesn't have a lot on managing relationship security in the comfort area. When you create insecurity your also going to create those people who check on your whereabouts and get suspicious of your activity. This will turn to full crazy if not managed with security. Dread sex is insecurity sex and is a form of mate guarding.

Saying all that, I agree with the general premise.

Just to clear things up, it depends if you consider dread to mean showing that you have other options, including being single, or if dread specifically refers to your options being someone else.

If the former, then yes, id say its the only tool. I dont think you specifically need to involve other people or flirt with other women to show that poor behavior and weaponizing sex wont be tolerated.

men value sex because its harder for them to get. Women value attention. So do things that give the perception that your attentions isnt a given in the situation.

"Dread game" is just blowing the dust off of your relationship and giving it a little kickstart. As time goes on, people get comfortable with each other and the things that attracted your girl to you in the first place begin to get old and tired. Attraction drops off as the relationship stagnates in its little bubble.

"Dread" is simply the man showing his woman that he is still desirable to the rest of the population, and that often reignites the attraction in the woman, for the man. It's useful for a lot more than just weaponized sex.

Here's the thing I always have chick "friends" I keep in contact with.

Mostly girls I've slept with.

So if the gf doesn't put out she can get out, now there's reasons it's fine. If she had a family member die, fine, or has a health issue, sure. But if it's just "I don't want to," well I cut it.
