Was always red. Liberals and sjws have just pushed me farther into the red..

Bloops think they are changing minds. Nope, your just adding to our ranks!

[–]Offhisgame3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (36 children) | Copy Link

Can you be a liberal and red pill?

[–]gasparddelanuit6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can you be a liberal and red pill?

Yes.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

I think libertarian is now the choice for those who enjoy personal freedom without going full retard

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

Libertarianism is non sense. If you let the markets regulate themselves you end up in a fascist type system. The strong subjugate the weak if the weak are not allowed to control the strong through government regulations and enforcement.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

So you prefer the system of communism.. yes, that worked out great for the Soviets, Chinese, north Koreans..

[–]DissentientUnplugged2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

That's a very low quality strawman, mate.

I'm not him, but I prefer the Nordic model. Good things from both capitalism and socialism.

I'm extremely libertarian when it comes to social issues, but I don't possess the hatred of taxes of government that libertarians have.

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I preferred Nordic Democracy before I abandoned democracy entirely. I hate the farce. Nordic Democracy is super femininized.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Nordic model works because its pretty much ethno tribalism. The difference between multicultural fascism (liberals) and real fascism is that real fascism actually sort of works economically and socially its just really totalitarian

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

OK, first things first. The Nordic countries are not socialist on anyway, and are actually more free market in many ways then the U.S.

They have some of the highest rates of alcoholism and anti depressant users in the world.

They had large natural resources to share among a small population and yet their economies are still sluggish do to over taxation.. and their citizens hold some of the highest consumer debt in the world just to maintain their standards of living.

Sometimes utopias are not what they seem

[–]DissentientUnplugged0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

and are actually more free market in many ways then the U.S.

One of the reasons why US has issues with free markets is that some of its attempts to keep government out of things spectacularly backfired, most notable example being healthcare.

They have some of the highest rates of alcoholism and anti depressant users in the world.

I don't see how that in any way matters. No one forces to you drink alcohol or kill yourself.

and their citizens hold some of the highest consumer debt in the world

Same here, no one forces you to take loans. If a median wage in one of those countries is not enough for you, it's likely that your standards are somewhat unreasonable.

Sometimes utopias are not what they seem

I've lived there. They are certainly not perfect, but they tick more boxes for me than anything else in the world today.

[–]dakruNeither0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

One of the reasons why US has issues with free markets is that some of its attempts to keep government out of things spectacularly backfired, most notable example being healthcare.

I think it's been a long time since the government was kept out of healthcare in the United States. Here's an article from Paul Krugman in 2009 (before Obamacare, but arguing in favour of it): "They don’t understand, in particular, that getting the government involved in health care wouldn’t be a radical step: The government is already deeply involved, even in private insurance."

[–]DissentientUnplugged1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, my point was that instead of going with single payer, the US government decided to force people to pay for private insurance which to me looks like a clumsy attempt at reducing government involvement that ended being the worst of both worlds.

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So you prefer the system of communism.. yes, that worked out great for the Soviets, Chinese, north Koreans..

No, I prefer capitalism + tyranny. Fuck feelings and fuck the weak.

While I agree that libertarians are perhaps overtly enthusiastic about markets and dismissive of social forces in play...

If you let the markets regulate themselves you end up in a fascist type system.

...this has never happened in history, and I have to wonder why it is a net good that society bends over backwards to cater to the weak.

While I agree that libertarians are perhaps overtly enthusiastic about markets and dismissive of social forces in play...

...this has never happened in history, and

Sure, we've never had a pure free-market system or even close. But, you see as government and corporations become friends, the government slowly becomes more and more tyrannical, serving the dollar and corps over the people.

I have to wonder why it is a net good that society bends over backwards to cater to the weak.

Is it a net good? Mobilizing the weak masses is certainly useful for war.

Currently we use democracy and freedom as control mechanisms for the masses. When our technology is sufficiently good, we can directly control them again through force instead of manufacturing their voluntary submission as is done today.

[–]the_calibre_cat0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

But, you see as government and corporations become friends, the government slowly becomes more and more tyrannical, serving the dollar and corps over the people.

I dunno, man. I don't think that's the case at all. Corporations are merely doing what they can to extract the optimal outcome in the present conditions, and they're good at it. They're good at sniffing out talent and creating things, but no corporation gets large and successful without kissing the ring. Billions of dollars mean fuck all when the S.E.C. can raid your offices and imprison your executives, and that's the ultimate currency that every human being on Earth trades in: Force.

I'd take this crony corporate country over a socialist kleptocracy any day of the week.

I have to wonder why it is a net good that society bends over backwards to cater to the weak.

Is it a net good? Mobilizing the weak masses is certainly useful for war.

The weak don't fight wars, and tend to oppose them. The strong fight wars. Sometimes they get cocksure and do it too often, but war isn't something that smiles kindly upon people too stupid and too weak to jump into it.

Because corporations are doing what they should be doing is why the system becomes tyrannical. You ever seen a democratic corporation?

More general than force, Power.

I'd take this crony corporate country over a socialist kleptocracy any day of the week.

As would I.

I have to wonder why it is a net good that society bends over backwards to cater to the weak.

Is it a net good? Mobilizing the weak masses is certainly useful for war.

The strong direct the wars, send the weak to war. The weak the poor the have nots the peasants the lower class, whatever you wish to label them. The rulers, those strong enough to become ruling class, military leaders, do not typically put themselves in the line of fire.

A large point of most religions is to mobilize and band men for war, Christianity, Islam, etc do this exceedingly well.

[–]the_calibre_cat0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because corporations are doing what they should be doing is why the system becomes tyrannical. You ever seen a democratic corporation?

A few. The vast majority of democratic corporations go the same way as democratic countries: Where the voters vote themselves lavish and unsustainable benefits in the short-term, thus destroying the corporation and with it any prospect of a long-term.

This is why I'm not a socialist, even if my hard-headed capitalist views have been giving way to some socialist talking points - I don't think hierarchy is bad. There's a reason it exists and is the dominant form of human social organization.

I'm not opposed to democratic corporations in principle, but I'm also not opposed to run-of-the-mill hierarchies in principle. Sometimes, the workers don't know collectively better than the executives individually.

More general than force, Power.

Yeah, but force is the be-all, end-all. Social influence is important, but if shit hits the fan and bullets start flying, status means fuck all and whoever has the most dudes with guns means everything.

The strong direct the wars, send the weak to war. The weak the poor the have nots the peasants the lower class, whatever you wish to label them.

I mean, I dunno, man. You ever been in the military? None of the people who go and serve on the line of fire are what I would call "weak." Commissioned officers are certainly elites, and even the grunts of the military are given benefits that allow them or their posterity to join the ranks of the elites through education and connections. The military is a spectacular pathway to success in this country, and the U.S. military is an unmatched show of force because its constituent elements are not weak, they are strong. They believe in something bigger than themselves.

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A few. The vast majority of democratic corporations go the same way as democratic countries: Where the voters vote themselves lavish and unsustainable benefits in the short-term, thus destroying the corporation and with it any prospect of a long-term.

Lol, I had no idea that has ever existed. Pretty funny really.

This is why I'm not a socialist, even if my hard-headed capitalist views have been giving way to some socialist talking points - I don't think hierarchy is bad. There's a reason it exists and is the dominant form of human social organization.

Heirarchy is natural, needed, and can't be avoided. The nature of humans is to band into groups based on where people can derive more power from.

I haven't studied communist societies that much, but I can't imagine they could get around this, I imagine the working class still had its own divisions based on either prestige or resources.

I'm not opposed to democratic corporations in principle, but I'm also not opposed to run-of-the-mill hierarchies in principle. Sometimes, the workers don't know collectively better than the executives individually.

I'd say usually the workers(masses) don't know better than their executives(rulers).

It really is like government, people expect the government to work for the people, when the government works for itself. Workers expect the executives to do things for them, when the executives do things for themselves.

More general than force, Power.

Yeah, but force is the be-all, end-all. Social influence is important, but if shit hits the fan and bullets start flying, status means fuck all and whoever has the most dudes with guns means everything.

Typically the people with the highest status has the most dudes with guns, or is friends with the people that do.

The strong direct the wars, send the weak to war. The weak the poor the have nots the peasants the lower class, whatever you wish to label them.

I mean, I dunno, man. You ever been in the military? None of the people who go and serve on the line of fire are what I would call "weak." The military is a spectacular pathway to success in this country, and the U.S. military is an unmatched show of force because its constituent elements are not weak, they are strong. They believe in something bigger than themselves.

Military soldiers are mostly poor people, weak in that sense. The military creates masculine men for sure and is strong in that way.

Unless someone is highly intelligent and studious they won't get into one of the military academies that produce military leaders. Small minority of military personnel.

But a lower class person can join the military and pretty reliably come out with enough skills and connections to get a middle class job and lifestyle, perhaps this is what you're referring to?

It's not all or nothing. Even the most hardened libertarians acknowledge that SOME government is necessary.

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Some government, yes, but no market regulations. Do you disagree?

[–]BluepillProfessorRed Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do disagree, so I guess I am not a "real" libertarian. More like a Rand Paul libertarian rather than a Ron Paul libertarian. Ideology aside, I have to say I am pretty enamored with Trumpism right about now.

[–]trpobservereats ass0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If you let the markets regulate themselves you end up in a fascist type system

For example...?

And before you say it, the housing crises was caused by a whole multitude of bad decisions on part of the government, from forming a oligopoly of ratings agencies to forcing banks to take on bad loans to using government funds to purchase risky financial assets. And the federal register only grows larger every year.

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No examples, it's never happened irl.

But, given how corporations use propaganda and marketing currently to control consumer outlook and feelings, what would be different that prevents corporations from manipulating people for their own gain as they do now so effectively?

[–]trpobservereats ass0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

different that prevents corporations from manipulating people for their own gain as they do now so effectively?

You kind of absolving customers of personal responsibility here. People are perfectly capable of saying no, companies can only show you their products and in some rare cases try to change what you desire. Cases like DeBeers and diamonds are the exception, not the rule however.

Companies don't manipulate people for their own gain, they provide value to people. If a company is making lots of money without providing value to people, then there is always a state propping it up. The state physically manipulates people through the use of force, and both presently and historically states have been consistently destructive and self-serving in using that force.

Which is why millions still support corporations like Walmart and Bank of America and Monsanto?

There are plenty of alternatives, people don't care, and/or are fooled by positive ad campaigns.

I implore you to study propaganda. Force is what governments use when propaganda fails.

Watch Manufacturing Consent, study Edward Bernays, study any sales psychology.

You really think the American election was decided by reason? It was a propaganda war, and Trump won.

You think the USA is actually justified in its actions against the middle east? Again, done by propaganda.

Most people are too busy slaving and working to understand how their minds are influenced by the media using their instincts and emotions against them.

[–]the_calibre_cat1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Contemporary liberals aren't exactly pro personal freedom. They're all for a libertine lifestyle being unquestionably accepted by the rest of society (or else society is a terrible), but generally also for everyone being forced to pitch in for groups they have identified as more oppressed or doing worse.

It's the latter part libertarians take issue with. I used to be a lot more libertarian than I am now. Generally I think liberals mean well, but I think if I'm going to make exceptions for intruding on people's personal freedoms, the conservatives are more correct on how to do it than the liberals are.

Unfortunately, their more strict worldview gives an easy home to people who do simply legitimately hate others for their inherencies, and the artistic and literary predisposition of liberals and the left generally makes ample and effective use of this to attack via guilt by association and generalization.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Though for me it's more social libertarianism specifically to the level where the government should not act to enforce behaviour on an individual but return that power for protecting individual from one another.

Can still be a liberal though, it's a big tent. Similar to the conservative fracturing in the last century.

[–]nomdplumeFormer Alpha1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You can, but it's non-sensical, at least if you've gone past gender dynamics and into society dynamics. Full rp leads to dark enlightenment.

Being a liberal that sees reality is incredibly wishful thinking and idealistic. Which I can't help but judge harshly.

[–]Offhisgame0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are trapped in your bubble though. Whats liberal where you live is probably centrist here. And liberal here is far left

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I attempt to be objective. I'm hardly in any bubble at all because I understand so many bubbles. It can honestly be quite confusing. My belief system is incredibly paradoxical in ways. Imagine liking both Jesus and Lucifer.

[–]the_calibre_cat0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's really not that simple. Europe is probably more right-wing than the United States with regards to, say, immigration. Even most of the "Build the wall!"ers don't hate Mexicans - they hate the cost on our social systems and the outsized impact on our cultural commons.

My Dad, a longtime Republican, expressed his thoughts about how "DREAMers" should have a path to citizenship and everything like that. I'm probably more right-wing than my dad in that regard - I have very little sympathy for someone who came here illegally.

[–]Returnofthemack3Purple Pill0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

um yeah? I voted for hillary and i'm 'red pill'. I think the trump bullshit circle jerk there is tiring, but i've never pretended to agree with everything there so it's whatever. I just take what's useful and discard the rest, like many others do. 'it's a tool box' etc.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Can confirm somewhat, I've become more purplish. Suffice it to say I think some reds have as well.

[–]darla102 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yes. some reds are deserting the extremes. Some blues are too. Go Purple!

[–]the_calibre_cat2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. I wouldn't say I was hardcore red, but I was more then than I am now. Some of their rhetoric is over the top, but I am still generally skeptical of modern social justice and feminism.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Why do y'all automatically associate bloopers with social justice and feminism though? I mean feminism I can at least understand, as lots of us explicitly say we are feminists, but SJW? Most bloops I've seen have expressly disavowed believing in SJW-type views.

[–]the_calibre_cat1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I really don't know how one can be a feminist, and NOT have a cursory understanding and acceptance of mainstream S.J.W. views. Honestly, their defenses are exactly the same as those of feminists, and their arguments are exactly the same.

Just instead of "women" and "the patriarchy," it's "oppressed classes" (which "women" are usually included among) and "white males." Otherwise, it's exactly the same. I actually agree with the equality of opportunity ideals of both feminism and the social justice crowd, I just don't really think the vast federal state and bureaucratic micromanagement of society is a remotely palatable solution. And they swear up and down that's not what they want, but I've read Marx and other socialists. I've read about the Red Guards in China. The rhetorical similarities are pretty disconcerting at the very least.

Libertarians are utterly loathed in those camps, why I couldn't tell you. I think most Libertarians agree with the part of Republican and Conservative political ideology that likes an orderly society, where we all play by the same rules and get judged equally, and harbor disdain for the parts of Republican and Conservative political ideology that give preference to certain religions or races. Given the social justice crowd's "commitment to equality," I'd think that even if they disagree that the goal should be equality of opportunity (they think it should be outcome), they'd be at least somewhat less harsh to libertarians over their views.

But nope. They're every bit as torn apart as the Bible-thumping Republican who thinks gay people should pay the Christian equivalent of the jizya. Like, sorry, I can't get over that, nor can I get over how quickly they can disregard real biological differences between people and groups of people, nor the effect of thousands of years of culture on the people they simplistically cast as "the enemy," nor the notion of freedom of association. They are absolutely convinced of their moral righteousness, and if you question one ounce of it, you are a terrible human being, the end.

I don't think I've seen a single B.P.er expressly disavow believing in S.J.W.-type views, and I think I've seen plenty of them defend such views. Which is okay, but more-or-less confirms my views that B.P. is a place for feminists, social justice types, and generally left-leaning and hard-left political ideologies.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My understanding of mainstream SJW-ism is the safe space, trigger warning, cultural appropriation, anti-free speech, regressive nonsense I see posted in TiA. You can absolutely be pro-feminism for whatever feminist reason you like (mine personally is because I'm pro-choice and this is a HUGE issue in the U.S. right now) and not be a SJW. You also don't have to complain about bullshit issues like mansplaining/manspreading and believe in regressive anti-liberal policies like affirmative consent to be a feminist.

Do you have a different understanding of SJWism than I do? I will be honest and tell you the only thing I know about it I get from subs like TiA.

[–]the_calibre_cat0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I guess I think of the "social justice" crowd as a spectrum or gradient of beliefs, which feminism is unambiguously a part of. You can fall on this gradient towards one end, where you acknowledge a lot of the points made but otherwise conclude that there isn't that much that can be done about it beyond your own being aware and the change in behavior on your part that comes with that. Or, you can fall on this gradient on the other end, where you view politics and government as the primary vehicle to achieve the social aims you're after, but shame and policing of opinion and media are the day-to-day tools that individuals who fall on this part of the gradient, utilize. Additionally, at this point on the gradient, one is unshakeably convinced of your moral righteousness and have an outgroup that is deemed "the enemy."

The former aren't social justice warriors. The latter are. TumblrInAction is funny, but not particularly informative, in my view. It's too easy to dismiss these people as crazies on the internet, and I can't possibly criticize them for their ruthless lack of nuance in understanding their enemies (people who hold diametrically opposed beliefs to them) while reducing them to idiot TumblrInAction posters.

I'm really not worried about people on the moderate end of the spectrum. I'm much, much more worried about the people on the immoderate end of the spectrum, who in my view have been making profound gains in society through their ideal vehicle of government AKA "force." Change is happening, but not fast enough, and they're convinced that they change they want is a moral imperative by which the ends justify the means. It does not surprise me that these folks often flirt with (or are overtly supportive of) communism and socialism politically (see our very own /u/princeso_bubblegum) - ideologies which certainly sought equality between all.

I don't think S.J.W. fundamentals are necessarily bad, I just think that our ideals simply must be tempered by the real. We aren't equal. And resources aren't infinite. At some point, people must be turned away, and it's my view that the difference between left and right exists at this point.

[–]Princeso_Bubblegum☭ The real red pill ☭1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

ooo I was pinged

I'm kind of a weird example however as I am not a Feminist, I guess I am an overly socialist poster here however though lol.

[–]the_calibre_cat0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's what I was referring to. Which, hey, if you can pull it off, more power to you - but to say that I'm comfortable with the track record and ideals of socialism would... not be an accurate statement.

I get a general impression that there are more piercings and tattoos per capita here than in the general population.

I don't think so. Tattoos and piercings are totally common nowadays and Redditors, especially TRPs tend to be STEM nerds that never had a youth and that have no idea what "cool" or "swag" is. I'd say there are probably less people with tattoos here than the general population

to thinking BPers are just kind of weird people in general.

This is what I've noticed too.

I wouldn't say ''weird'', because that may carry negative connotations, and I'm not being critical.

But it seems obvious to me that so many of the BPers on this sub have quirky, unconventional and non-standard experiences, behaviours and views on sexual dynamics, sex and relationships.

It's no wonder that so many people on one side or the other fails to find common ground, when we're dealing with a small minority of people on both sides whose views deviate from the norm.

A lot of polyamorous and bi sexuals as well as feminists are BP. Its odd because RP is mostly geared towards hetero relations. Don't know why they think they can convince most of these straight dudes on their ideology

[–]Returnofthemack3Purple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

when I read shit on TBP, it doesn't make much sense with the reality i've witnessed in my life, past and present. I really do think the vast majority of posters there are either women or sexually deprived men lol. I dunno, that's the vibe I get

[–]DucksCanDanceRed-ish Man3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

This.

[–]darla103 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

RP with nuance is dark purple. It's basically not crazy extreme lunacy in either direction. I still maintain: red pill in romantic relationships + egalitarian outside of romantic relationships (professional world) is the best combo. Call that whatever you want.

[–]exit_sandmanstill not the MGTOW sandman FFS1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

RP with nuance is dark purple.

Nah, "RP with nuance" still means that you subscribe to redpill claims regarding the nature of men/women. You may have more ambiguity tolerance than the average forum dweller, but that doesn't really make you purple.

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

oh ok. well...what about if you subscribe to some of it and throw away the rest? cherry pick red pill?

[–]exit_sandmanstill not the MGTOW sandman FFS0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That would probably be purple.

For example, if you dismiss several very basic claims out of hand for whatever reason (no, "women are bad people" is not a fundamental claim).

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it's hard to sort through the garbage to get to the fundamental claims. But I get what you're saying.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You can still enjoy a particular style of romantic relationship (traditionalist) without being cookie cutter. No AWALT here. :P

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]darla102 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Many shades. Because the good stuff in RP is often overshadowed by the crazy.

[–]Returnofthemack3Purple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

i'm more or less like you. I don't always agree with everything, but i've found TRP to be more true than not. I've experienced quite a bit in life, and TRP makes a lot more sense than TBP does when analyzing the past and present. I just don't see things play out like bloopers say they do. With that said, sometimes TBP does pick out some hilariously dumb shit on trp and makes fun of it, as it should.

[–]DucksCanDanceRed-ish Man1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah there are a lot of idiots on the TRP sub

Among other things, I once saw a highly upvoted post about how you can tell a virgin by the way her vagina "pops" when you penetrate it

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

Nah. Life experience red pilled me, then I came across the sub and it resonated well enough that I was able to get past the autistic "field reports".

PPD deprogrammed a lot of the rest of the cultural marxism I had accumulated in my head during college though

[–]Offhisgame3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

My question is. If you realize the PEOPLE who practice TRP are autistic or just completely fucking insane why don't you just follow the parts that make sense and not call it a damn thing? Call it being logical, being good with women.

Thats what LOTS of dudes who always got laid do.

[–]DucksCanDanceRed-ish Man6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't identify as RP anywhere except here

I don't even talk about this stuff anywhere but here

[–]Offhisgame1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Me too. Thats why if i was talking to any normal person I wouldn't call anything I think 'red pill'. Its logic in alot of cases. The half of red pill stuff that makes sense.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

[–]Returnofthemack3Purple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

because not everyone there is? the quality varies because the goddamn mods have a very laissez faire poilcy. It's part of the philosophy there. For myself, I mainly refer to rollo's posts, among a few others. I think most veteran trpers will admit that a lot of the posts are straight trash

[–]IntroiboAdAltareDei points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This does make sense but reading TRP appeals to me for some reason, even if I cringe a lot to the posts and feel bad about it there's something appealing about being in some kind of community. NoFap did this for me as well which I stuck to for over a year.

[–]Offhisgame-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its just the weirdness of the internet magnifying things. I think both pill subs see crazy and way too into gender wars bullshit

[–]Returnofthemack3Purple Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

right. Also, I really dont think a lot of the basic tenets of TRP are 'controversial'. I know plenty of guys that talk about women in a similar manner. That's why I dont trust bloopers, because every guy I know that expresses absolutely no 'TRP esque' sentiments is a fucking loser. I'm sorry ,but it's true. The guys I can think of that proudly wave a feminist flag and always are p/c are fat and beta as fuck. One guy in particular I know for a fact hasn't been laid for a decade. Think about that for a minute.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Went blue to purple. The TRPers here aren't as angry and full of as much toxic bullshit as some of the TRPers on TRP.

[–]SkrattGoddess4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

I was full blue until I came here. Now I'm purple. I was red, but getting banned from TRP and seeing how much of a ass they make out of themselves is pushing me back to blue again XD

There is Red Pill women. They are not the same of course as The Red Pill, and have little concern for what is going on at TRP. Their goal is female sexual strategy that sits some Red Pill theory - catching solid men with the best mix of Alpha and Beta traits, and pursuing a Captain & First Mate relationship dynamic. YMMV , RPW is far more tolerant to variances in what women may want out of their experiences than TRP is while offering advice to their men - at the same time they do host ideas that can be offensive to the opposing gender, much like TRP.

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

yes. they are really screwing up the men at RP with all of their political+social advice. They should emulate RPWives more. Stay on brand and let the grown ups handle the other topics.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No it all makes sense. Its a very womanly thing to deffer to the "grown ups" and more of a man thing to champion the "unqualified" autodidact or polymath. This is because men are more often autodidacts, polymaths and geniuses.

[–]darla100 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's true. Just don't expect women in the workforce to fawn all over your "genius" ideas. In the workforce and in the political sphere, we are after our own wins. We aren't fucking you. We don't care. At home, that's a different story. Just a friendly reminder. :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah women don't fawn over ideas at all they prefer results and things that actually manifest. But thats also part of the reason there are less women geniuses overall imo

[–]darla100 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Perhaps. It's multifactorial certainly.

[–]nemma8830/F/UK INFP -t. Engaged0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]darla100 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think they post on TRP. But they do read the posts. RPW tend to confine RP theory strictly to romantic relationships. Which makes sense to me. I do wonder what percentage of them are SAHMs vs career women.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]nemma8830/F/UK INFP -t. Engaged0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I was thinking specifically on the 'training' aspect, particularity there used to be a link on the sidebar that likened training a man to training a dog - I can't find it at the moment so maybe they dropped it, though the overall tone of 'Leading the man into leading' still exists. I considered joining once but every.single.post had RP men's opinions in the comments.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That would only be offensive to BP men because RP men wouldn't need to be trained to lead.

[–]SkrattGoddess0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea. For a month I was pretty much a man's toy, mainly because I was so horny in that time period xD

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Smart, intelligent and gifted women are red pillers. The rest of the women are blue pillers who live in an imaginary world where every man is created equal so he can get laid easily 😂😂😂😂😂

[–]SetConsumesAlways Becoming0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A woman can be fully red if the social circles she belongs to are also fully red.

Rare as fuck.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm fully Red too and I've been banned from TRP at least a couple of times...just because moderator /u/EpicLevelCheater is an idiot doesn't invalidate the theory in the sidebar. You probably got banned because you were espousing blue pill theory, and may not even have realized it, so you'd spend your time reading instead of commenting.

[–]PaperStreetVillaTRP Moderator-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Sidebar rules are very clear. Women are allowed to post in TRP, however, de genderize your language, and follow rule 0.

Starting posts with 'as a woman, I' or anything resembling tone policing, concern trolling, or shaming a man for being angry is not on.

Beyond that, Young guys vent, it's what they do. Better men are there to guide them to a better way, it's a long process, and doesn't always work. Nothing removes women from that process faster than a guy with anger, you're hard-wired to be averse to it.

So the ban was for everyones good. take care

[–]SkrattGoddess0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I didn't do none of that bullshit xD They just banned me because my post 'was not a contribution'.

I'm like...they need ME. I'm the reason why they're getting any of the traffic they are getting now, because of ME. I could care less about their shit topics.

Studying religion is what made me question blooper dogma, and I happened to find TRP as I was questioning.

But a lot of understanding bloop arguments never really sunk in until I started posting here. I can without a doubt say that PPD has solidified any red pill leanings I have, and would recommend this sub to anyone on TRP as a next step. I can explain further if you'd like.

[–]ppdthrowawaiRed Pill1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would say that understanding how other groups think has solidified the fact that I don't identify with them or their reasoning for their beliefs. I certainly think it's interesting to know that line of reasoning well.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Religions usually have their heads on straight about gender realities. Sometimes they're too punishing, thats a question for ethics. But they don't just make up shit like BPers do.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Thats most women. Most women push things they don't actually agree with in order to disempower other women and make them less competitive.

You wouldn't believe how many fit and attractive girls on my SOs facebook will jump to defend fat pride or "body positive". Its basically a way to keep the competition fat and down.

ironically, or perhaps unironically this is why i say feminism is the true enemy of women not masculinity.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

YEP.

I also saw this in university. Its humble bragging and intrasexual competition.

I've also seen them laugh at each other if one claims to have been raped. Shit is dark. :|

[–]darla100 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

that sounds really vicious. I hope you aren't right. Reminds me of my cousin's kids. When the boys fight with each other, they hit back. When the girls fight with each other, one will say to the other, "I'm mad at you. I am not going to hit you back. but I'm going to rip the head off your doll when you aren't looking." they are 5 years old. I do not believe being fat is healthy. at all. I think it's sad that we are normalizing this.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Another thing is that when it comes to abortion I know more women who haven't had kids that are in support of it, and I know more women some of them my friends who have had abortions and are now anti-abortion.

I feel like some women "empower" other women just to see them accrue a stigma and thereby hampering the competition.

Truth > Labels

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was pretty redpill to begin with because I'm from a traditional family.

I came here after I found TRP. The theory was alright, but there were a lot of hateful anger-phasers which made me not want to associate with them, so I got a purple flair.

I found RPW via PPD, it was a nice community but they were looking up to TRP a little too much for my liking. Half of the girls just seemed to be there so TRP would approve of them back when I still frequented the sub (before RPWi existed).

Then I some of the people from RPW started the RPWi sub. They seemed to share my feelings towards TRP, even though they did agree with red pill theory. So I figured if they call themselves redpill while openly disliking TRP I might as well do the same.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It made me go purple but my views politically, religiously and ideologically were turning that way to. I don't believe in the notion that all of these things are independent from another.
