Sounds like your own personal experiences. I've had several female friends and partners in my life who were very sensitive and understanding of my social anxiety, awkwardness, and antisocial tendencies. Women can also suffer from these problems. Sounds like you had some bad experiences in your life. I've known men to be just as rude and unsympathetic to me regarding issues of social awkwardness. Do you have any kind of evidence for this? Is there any kind of study done on gendered attitudes toward awkward/anxious behavior?

Honestly, both men and women today are fickle and break up with each other for the dumbest reasons. They deserve each other. Neither of them have an understanding of individual situations or nuance. They just make knee jerk judgements and aren't very deep. Most people are incapable of deep thinking or critical thinking these days. It's quite sad.

I disagree. Women won't sleep with you or date you as a socially awkward man but that doesn't mean they won't recognize your problems or sympathize with you. I've had many different female friends offer sympathy or advice related to my social anxiety and dating issues. Now they didn't respond by becoming my girlfriend but I don't think that means they didn't care. I wasn't friends with them based on any expectation of a romantic relationship (I think it's pretty dumb for men to have any such expectation in fact).

Some guy being socially awkward isn't any woman's issue. It's up to the man to work through his issues, no one else has any obligation to "help him", if they do that's nice, but it doesn't make anyone an asshole if they don't take on the issues of a lonely person. If they giggle about it and make him feel like shit, yes that's rude but seriously nobody is more responsible for their circumstances than that particular person.

Women/any people at all don't take socially awkward men's problem of being socially awkward seriously because it isn't their problem?

I was (OK, AM) a big nerd and nearly all of my friends have been guys. I have always sympathised with socially awkward guys. Then I married one who is clinically socially awkward. So, I guess I reject your hypothesis. Oh, and those girls laughing and giggling? They did that to me too.

I have tried to help men in this position, and no it wasn't "be nice" or "be more confident".
