I disagree. My brother is 100% alpha and has been happily married for 15 years. My dad is also alpha and has been happily married to my mother for 35 years. Alpha =/= asshole or lone wolf. After reading everyone's comments and the debate therein, I couldn't help but notice there is a fatal flaw in the collective arguments by TRP side. What I think TRP fails to understand, or refuses to admit, is whether you yourself believe you're alpha is moot. It is how everyone else perceives you (and saying someone has bias or prejudice is a totally invalid argument, as you have done nothing to change their perception and in fact have only validated it). If a woman, man, cat, dog, whatever, says you're or treats you as a "beta male," you may want to think about what you've done or are doing to warrant this perception. You may not, however, want to go off on a sophomoric tangent and say something incredibly idiotic like a woman doesn't have the right to a say in something (anything). Keep feeding your self-delusions RPers, because everyone knows anyway true alphas wouldn't even waste their time justifying their words, actions, or behavior to anyone, never mind those of others.

My dad is an alpha and she has been married for over 25 years? You know why? Because in my country, marriage is still a good deal. He married young, his wife had a low partner-count, even zero. She displayed feminine qualities and he knew how to keep her in check. In our society, divorce is still a no-no. Is/Was the marriage perfect? No, he slept around, got drunk and was sometimes verbally abusive. But she was sometimes nagging and confrontational. Do they love each? Hell yes, but they are not perfect, none of them. But they knew how to work it out, together. Not with some bs marriage advice dude or some other bs. He never apologised for any of his misdeeds and she considers herself lucky to have him.
