That is probably true, but it's also true that women enjoy sex and casual sex far more than is often suggested.

It's different for men and women because women pose no physical threat to us. There are also obvious biological reasons why men tend to want to spread their seed more so than women want to accumulate multiple partners. It also takes women much longer to get aroused than men.

Another influence over the issue is that it's still not easy for women to be open about their sexuality, and certainly not about sleeping around. Men and women who sleep around will get completely different reactions if they are open about it. This is bound to have some effect.

In fact, when I asked women whether or not they are interested in casual sex, multiple people said "you can't trust women's account of their sexual partners, they're probably lying". But then you're also arguing that they don't want casual sex in the first place! These two arguments are rather contradictory!

Women have no motivation to enjoy casual sex as much as men - they're highly unlikely to orgasm with a ONS, they're probably going to be judged for it if others find out, and there are also safety concerns regarding meeting up with complete strangers.

I don't believe the difference in sex drive is as vast as people make it out to be, though.

I don't know, I was never into casual sex when I was younger, most of my friends weren't, I do have one friend who was, especially in her 20's and then she lost interest as well. In contrast, I keep hearing about chix riding the cock carousel, although the definition of that seems to range from women who have had more than one partner to women who had many hook ups in college, so dunno.

I only ever had sex within the context of a steady relationship, casual sex just looked pretty "meh" to me, not from a moral piont of view, at least when I was younger, I caught the feels pretty easily so I did it mostly to protect myself from hurt. I don't really care what other people do, just what works for me personally.

Not only, as mentioned already, are women less likely to orgasm from a ONS, but their anatomy doesn't NEED orgasm as much as men. This is an anatomical perspective that no feminist who claims 'media and culture conditions women not to want sex as much as men' can refute.

Men have prostates and not orgasming can cause us health problems (cancer, inflammation). Women need sex, don't get me wrong. Without physical contact, attention, etc. they will suffer psychological effects no doubt. But they don't need it as much as men do.

My approach to debating feminists is that psychology<anatomy. Anatomy dictates psychology. A small person (man or woman) will be more prone to suffer from anxiety in general than a tall strong person (man OR woman, Venus Williams can kick a lot of short guy's asses), simply because walking out of the house or through a rough part of town is MORE dangerous for a smaller, weaker person.

Similarly with sex, because female reproductive health doesn't rely on regular orgasms in the way that men's does, they will likewise not be as motivated to seek out sexual situations, especially when other aspects are factored in (higher STD risk, they're weaker and could get raped).

When looking at female vs. male psychology one must necessarily look at anatomy. Anatomy can explain it all, or most of it.

I recently just got into a short Tinder relationship with a woman that carried her vibrator everywhere. She COULD achieve orgasm with (almost) any guy she slept with. She had slept with 58 guys, about as many women as I had slept with. With the help of her vibrator, she could be almost like a guy. She could just go fuck random dudes and get off.

However she kept a list! That is something guys usually do not do. I certainly haven't, but she kept a list of the names of all the guys she'd slept with. And she was also drunk and depressed for most of those numbers (most happened in a 7 year period of her life). When I ran up my numbers I was not always in a good place in life but I wouldn't have called myself depressed. If anything feeling confident was what motivated me to go have ONS's.

So there's differences, in my experience.

I generally agree with the view expressed in OP, but there was a study a while back where they found that women were just as likely as men to go for nsa sex…if the person offering is attractive and they're guaranteed safety and a good time. So perhaps the "never" part of the OP is inaccurate.

I think it's more about selective sexuality vs inclusive sexuality. Women might want casual sex but they have strange evolutionary barriers about who they are willing to have sex with. I think most men who are into casual sex won't mind fucking any woman they aren't physically repulsed by. Women on the other hand seem to be extremely sensitive that the flirting be perfect, the humor be perfect, the social status be perfect, and if something is off they won't do it.

As far as I'm concerned like 90% of women I see would be good for sex, no questions asked, if it was offered to me. I can't speak for other men but in social experiments like 50% of men agree to have sex with all sorts of women who asked them bluntly without even talking to them, but not a single woman reacted the same. And I'm willing to bet there was at least another 20-30% or more men who were just busy and would've agreed if it was in a party or something instead of a public place.

Given how many men don't have access to any casual sex or any significant amount of it, I don't think there's any way to assess that. And then it's made even more impossible by the fact that there's a strong social (i.e. non-biological) incentive for men to seek casual sex while there is a, albeit weak, deterrent for women from seeking it.

I can't change your view because I think you're correct, but I believe the reason that people say that is because of the stigma that comes when women do have lots of casual sex. They are trying to say that just because a girl has had 20 partners in the past 3 years doesn't mean she's a slut, that she has low self-esteem, that she has daddy issues, or that she's crazy. They are trying to make it seem that it's just as normal as a guy who has 20 partners in 3 years. Keep in mind that I'm not saying every girl who does this has these issues, but she definitely isn't the average woman.

The problem is that lots of guys would love to have 20 partners over 3 years, but the only way that would happen for most of them would be if they paid for it. The average chick does not want that at all, but lots of chicks could easily have it if they really wanted to.

Short Answer: False.

Long Answer: Women have a lot more reason to steer clear of casual sex than men do (pregnancy, higher risk of STI, etc.), so it makes sense they tend to have less sex drive. But women's interest in sex can still vary just as much as men's can. I know sex-crazy nymph women, and I know asexual men.

This is assuming that casual sex is something that all men want. That's not really what I'm interested in, and I have plenty of female friends who are more interested in casual sex than I am.

I would agree that pornography sends misleading messages about what women want, though.
