Introverted people of both genders have it harder than their more extroverted peers. But I would say introverted men have it worse since they are expected to ask women out.

like everyone else said, we can’t judge people when they don’t interact with us. also, when extroverted people observe people, they do this while interacting.

if you’re just quietly observing someone and you don’t interact with them, it can be misconstrued as creepy or antisocial.

My ex was an ISTP who barely talked in the whole 10 years i knew him and when he did it was kind of like boomhauer from king of the hill. He largely communicated through facial expressions and interpretive dance. Girls liked him but he was really cute and alternative cool. I think looks are probably even more important for intros than extros

No, I'm very introverted and have a clear preferences for other introverts. Being around one of those extroverts who just talk non stop is torture.

I like the quiet ones. Charisma throws me off because most of them are just bull shitting. I think people who don’t speak that much, do not need to. Also, I like the ones that open up more once you get to know them. Like, keep some mystery! It’s also nice to know that they can open up to you.

Then again, I’m not as outgoing as my peers. lol- people lie a lot. Half the stuff they say is insignificant.

I judge more extroverted people harsher. I automatically think of extroverted people as shallow and/or conceited. I gravitate towards introverts and perceive them as smarter and deeper, even if they’re none of those things and just happen to be quiet.

I'm not very outgoing and I always liked quiet guys more. My husband is an introvert and we're good together. So, I think, we can assume that it depends on the person. A social butterfly can find other extroverts more attractive, but the opposite can be true too. An introvert can prefer quite partners. But there are always exceptions. I know several couples, where people are their partner's opposite, and sometimes it works well too.

We don’t judge them more harshly but by default we might not notice them as much because, you know, they do not call attention to themselves.

I'm an introvert (INFJ) and I would LOVE to meet another introvert. I think the conversations are very lively and deep once you get to know each other vs listening to some extroverts who tend to monologue.

Have not experienced this. I'm mostly just more curious about the quiet guys, I mean with extroverted guys you know pretty much everything about them by just observing them for an hour.

People tend to judge introverts more slowly because they are less out there, which means that if you only see an introvert for a short time (such as at a party you are both guests at) you may come away with zero impression of them.

Guys do this too though. Two girls equally pretty, they'll notice the one dancing extravagently to music in the middle of the room faster and more than they notice the one in the corner talking to one of her female friends. Same with people who are not of your preferred gender for being attracted to... you will notice the guy who is mogging ya all immediately. So I think you can ask yourself "why do guys do this" and get some insight you don't need to go treating this like some special sex related mystery of women it is just a human thing?

Maybe quite men get judged by women who find them 'suspicious', like, "what's he planning?" type of deal, those types of women are extremely paranoid.

I’ve been with both introverts and extroverts, I am more extroverted so in a lot of situations (where appropriate) I chat up even quiet guys. I have some more introverted friends as well.

I don’t really judge them though I find dating extroverts just works better, not because I dislike introverts but because I like going out and being with people, meeting new people, or being in spaces where interaction is going to happen. So I like dating people who want to tag along and not feel like I am forcing them into uncomfortable situations.

My husband is pretty extroverted and it’s nice when we go out he doesn’t have to be by my side the whole time, he can go and interact without me. But he’s amazing in so many other ways that if he was introverted I would still be with him, it’s just an added nice thing.

Extroverts are often better conversationalists, particularly when it comes to new people. The quiet guys aren't getting judged for being quiet. It's just that the extroverts are offering something they can't.

Extroverted women also do better with dating.

I don’t judge introverted guys but if one guy is actively engaging me and the other won’t speak up I’m gonna hangout with the guy who actually talks to me. I don’t have anything against the quiet guy but he’s not really on my radar
