There comes a point in levelling up where you realise that the best thing you can do for yourself is to let go of relationships or things that bring you only negative feelings.

Your relationship with your ex has finished its purpose. You were with him to realise that you don’t deserve to be cheated on, and that you deserve to be happy.

Sometimes we hold on hoping to hear or discover something that will help us hold onto a relationship, because we’re too caught up in the few happy moments or the what-ifs.

But trust me when I say almost always there is nothing good that comes from staying in contact with these kind of people

Cheaters will cheat. Especially if they get away with it once, they will probably do it again. That's not the sort of character flaw that goes away. And even if he doesn't cheat (where you can see it), you (and she) know he's a man whose word is worthless. No integrity, no honor, no character.
I don't go in for blaming the other woman for cheating men, or at least not much. But her trash behavior certainly explains why she might get along with your trash ex.

Can you see how lucky you are? To be free and healing on your own while those two toxic people legally contract themselves to each other? My God, aren't you relieved?

I'm sorry, how painful 😭. Just know that today is painful, but you will continue to heal. Be glad to be rid of a person who is obviously selfish and lacking morals (based on the affair partner's messages and actions it sounds like they are a perfect match)! That man is no prize and she is going to see it sooner or later. The fact that she wants to create more pain for you is absolutely disturbing. I would not be surprised at all if either one of them cheat on each other. If there are no children, block both and dismiss them from your life! Be happy he is gone and that you didn't waste your whole life with him! His atrocious behavior is not a reflection of your worth. Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way. I'm going to bet one day you will look back and see your marriage ending as one of the best things that ever happened to you. I know it hurts, but you have a SECOND chance at life! It can be hard not to let the self doubt creep in, reframe it. I'm rebuilding after a divorce as a single mother with three kids and a narcissistic ex living in another state. When I feel overwhelmed or not good enough, I realize that this is the best thing that could have happened to me! I no longer have to be walking on eggshells, dealing with lies, abuse and infidelity. I have a chance to show my children differently and raise GOOD people. I can pursue a healthy relationship in the future with an equal partner and most importantly I can be ME again!

Ty everyone for your kind words, it really means a lot. I have been divorced for 4 years almost 5 now. Idk why my wedding day still hurts so much. I keep on blocking wifey, but she creates a new phone number and texts me about a new status update on her dating .... well married life with him. I’m very close to just changing my phone number all together. They have been blocked on social media and everything, she’s just a sneeeeky snake.

Being single and dealing with boys instead of men, with OLD and the pandemic may have triggered it more since OLD has been really really REALLY hard. Maybe the holidays coming so close as well, I don’t do well in holidays specially when I am single.

Again, ty everyone for the loving and kind words! I hope everyone can read this. I’m kinda new to using... well posting on reddit. ☺️

Imagine waking up on YOUR wedding day but instead of feeling nervous/happy/excited to start your life with the person you love, you text his ex wife.

Wedding day = barley having enough time to breathe because you’re too busy getting ready and making sure the event runs smoothly.

Yet, she still found the time to text you. Seriously, what an insecure nut case.

If she was truly happy, she would’ve been having mimosas with her bridesmaids and too busy to worry about you. She’s miserable and knows that misery loves company. Good thing you’re too good for this shit.

You'll get through this! You will heal! It'll take a lot of time but you will. I strongly strongly suggest blocking and deleting both your ex and his partner. Keeping communication open will make the healing take longer. I love your name for your car by the way. Throw yourself into hobbies, books, food, redecorating, whatever you need to stay busy. Hugs.
