Super easy red flags to spot:

Does he make it a point to tower over women during conversation? - if yes, he’s trying to keep her in her place/establish dominance

Does he pick up his phone/turn his head/cut her off/start new conversations every time a woman opens up her mouth about something that isn’t a direct compliment to him? - if yes, he doesn’t value women in general

Does he call women out of their names casually? - if yes, same as above.

This reminds me of a man I met yesterday in the grocery store.

He complimented my pants and I said "thanks", which he interpreted as an invitation to begin commenting on my body.

Him: "I said I like your pants but I actually meant that I was staring at your butt"

Me: "that was rude"

Him: "what's rude?! it's *your fault* for wearing those pants"

then he kept yelling as I walked away. I saw him in the checkout lanes later and he was buying a bouquet of flowers for someone.

Oh, they do tell on themselves. I asked one man who i considered a friend to please stop asking me to perform work for him in my professional field for free, and that I'd be happy to do that work on a paid basis.

He got really pissy, told me I was "full of shit," and then said, "Let's take a break."

My ex built up a persona of a kind, sweet, giving person and everyone bought it (and still do).

The real him is one of the most selfish people I've ever known. My boundaries and no's were nothing to him. The relief I felt after I ghosted him was wonderful!

I’ve been so traumatized by abusive guys that whenever I stick up for myself or playfully show him I won’t take shit,he turns all sweet like explaining himself or “it’s ok” but I am STILL worried that’s a form of manipulation 😢 it’s a good step for me that I’m sort of naturally putting things in place, but then he acts like I AM putting him in his place and I can’t tell if it’s being considerate or not

Exactly. I disagreed with a male friend over text and his response was the definition of immaturity. All because of that one disagreement, he written me off as a person he can't respect. He use to be what I would call a best friend. Now he has been downgraded to an acquaintance in my eyes.

That’s an important one. How a partner reacts when the two of you disagree or argue. But I’d say, at least to me, it’s important who he reacts when we are romantic or cuddling. I’ve had (1) partners just take a few strokes down there, flopping over on his back expecting a BJ and then thinking I’m good to go. Compare that to my current man who gives me a looooong massage or foot rub and gives mind boggling head for 30-60, and then actually being observant on the sounds I make and how I move to see what I like and don’t like. Honestly, some of the partners I’ve had could easily been replaced with vibrator (hell, even a vegetable) and some chocolate.

Also pay attention to who they choose to criticize, valid criticism or not. The majority of men pinpoint wrong things that women do, but never have the same energy for men. I'm seeing so many men incredibly critical of VP Harris for example, and not a thought about how our actual soon to be president has made unfavorable political decisions in the past as well. They go so far as to downplay Trumps influence over the past few years. It's sick and low value as fuck. Meanwhile I see women actually care about issues at hand and therefore critical of all people involved. Women play gendered favorites far, far less and yet the narrative is the opposite.
