Not a fan of what this sub is becoming. Men need to realize that "looks are everything" is shorthand for "looks are extremely damn important", and not "looks are literally the only thing that matters in the world and you cannot succeed without them".

Yes, confidence and determination are extremely important as well. But where do you get those traits? From hard work, good self-esteem, and a healthy amount of external validation (dark triad types will say this doesn't matter, but if you want to develop strong social skills you absolutely need to be surrounded by people who are receptive to you). Getting in shape will lead to all of those things. It's an incredibly powerful experience.

This a very old debate that's been hashed out a long time ago.

it goes like this, a women's subconscious is what's measuring everything. It does this based on perception not on objective evidence. It doesn't wrap a tape measure around your arm and claim "ok it's X inches so she's attracted", instead it weights all available information and grants each guy a "value". That value is then compared how her subconscious perceives herself and if it's higher, she wants to fuck, if it's lower, then you don't exist.

"Looks" is a huge ass category. Height is one component, as is facial symmetry and musculature. But, don't fall into the trap of thinking "BIG MUSCLES YAY!" because her subconscious can't tell the difference between a gym bro and someone who does modest exercise and is healthy. "Jacked / Ripped / ect.." is all for impressing other guys or feeding your own self confidence, it has very little effect on the female. Muscles are nice, but there is a point you arrive at where the effect just stops, that point is usually immediately after the "noob gains".

The #1 biggest factor in attraction is status. Status is absolute king in the mating market, everything comes from it. Physical appearance is just a form of status. "Seduction Game" is just bullshiting a females subconscious into perceiving you as higher status then you were otherwise. Clothing and grooming is just a way to show off status. How other people talk to you is status, if you walk into a room do people notice you? Do people in your social group defer to you when deciding what to do? This type of leadership status is really important. Another source of status is ability. The ability to "do shit". Being a "man of action" so to speak, where you are capable of getting what you want, and she can see it.

When we put all this together we can see how women's subconscious will observe how a man is treated, how he is spoken to, what he does and how he carries himself. His physique, tone of voice and mannerisms will reflect what he thinks of himself. A women's mind does this interesting thing where she absorbs the judgement of other people and makes it her own. So if the male thinks highly of himself and projects a confident aura and demeanor, then she'll judge him to be confident and attractive.

So ultimately, no "LOOKS!!!" is not the single most important thing. It's only one of the easiest to change and creates a snowball effect. You start lifting, getting decent clothing and grooming and you feel more confident. That self confidence is real and will display itself in how you walk, how you talk and how people treat you. That then snowballs into even more confidence and status, suddenly your getting girls left and right.

I was thinking about making a post like this with my experience. I was always kind of good looking, athletic rugby player, despite being plugged in for lots of years. When I turned 20, I got cancer. That bitch really messed with my looks: gained 30 kg (more than 60 pounds), lost most of my muscle mass, and all my hair. When I resumed normal life, I felt like a ghost: nobody checked me out. I thought this was normal: girls look at you, permanently... but no, they don´t. They just do if you look well, and if you don´t, you´re invisible.

A year later I was again at top condition. Hell yeah it was a huge change in perception. I couldn´t believe how much it influenced my daily life: ugly people have it way more difficult in every aspect in life. I even notice it while wearing my normal outfit (tailored suit and tie, I´m a lawyer in a big city) vs casual clothing. People respect you more when you look awesome, you get compliments, freebies, they follow you and listen careful because even if they don´t know you, they think you´re successful.

I agree, but I think attractiveness is just a substitute. The reason you see ugly man with babes, beyond just money, is there are lots of things that go into the game. Namely, social smoothness and the innate confidence that goes with it. In your case, taking care of your appearance gave you that but there are lots of paths to it.

Usually the "looks matter" type of posts devolve into little more than "if you're not tall, white, and handsome, you should probably kill yourself" circlejerks, but this one handled it beautifully. Looks do matter, and things like facial structure and height are really important, but it's not worth addressing because that can't be changed. What does matter is that if you're a fatass with a bad haircut and bad fashion, you're gonna be treated worse than the same version of you that's ripped and has good fashion.

I'd like to open up a sincere question: TRP has members of all heights, but you mention you'r 6'4-5". I've noticed almost all of the "I was once a loser who now is spinning several HB9 plates" rags to riches stories here involve guys who are decidedly tall, or at least average or above height. Would anyone care to expand on this? In your experience, is being tall virtually a prerequisite for relatively easy sex with "hot" (8 or above) girls, or at least something that might put you in an entirely different "league" in terms of ease?

Muscle, Height, Facial Aesthetics. Have two out of three and you'll always do well with women barring complete social incompetence. You'll develop relevant 'game' as long as you're not completely stupid and are interacting with women regularly. We can beat around the bush but this is all it takes to easily fuck women regularly.

You can always build muscle, so no matter what you start from there's something you can physically improve with.

Grooming can help with facial aesthetics but your bone structure and proportions are set in stone barring surgical alteration. Height is fixed as well. Thank your ancestors if you were blessed with one, the other, or both.

Game works, but it works better for attractive people. High status is great but don't be fat. Fame can overload pussy-tingle-control center, but you're unlikely to be or become famous. Power is definitely an aphrodisiac. Money works too - whether direct or indirect they're prone to being whores ;)

The overall message is good, but as for the post as a whole, you are technically wrong. Yes, physically attractive people do have a huge advantage in many aspects of life. In relation to this post, you are mainly talking about sex. Its Eugenics. We naturally look to mate with the most attractive of the opposite sex. Looks are extremely important. But for you to literally say, "Looks are everything", theres a lot more that you have not considered.

Yes, the gym is extremely important for our figure as well as our confidence. This goes a long way in success in many different aspects in life. I am glad that it has had such a profound effect on you, as it does for me as well. I actually used to hold the exact same belief regarding lifting and women as you do. After awhile, I began to see that this simply is not the case.

This is TRP, where we see society for what it ACTUALLY is, not what we want it to be. How many times have you seen an extremely attractive women with someone who you would perceive as unattractive? I know from my own experience more often that not!

You have forgotten that women determine who they want to mate with on their social value. Women instinctually need to feel provided for. They hate risk and want to know they made the right decision. They also make more emotional decisions then men.

With this being said, determine your social value. You must be able to spur different emotions from women at different times. You must be regarded as the life of the party, but slightly passive aggressive. Your name must be used in conversation when you are not around. You must be financially free to create compelling scenes. You must appear generous and living life in abundance. You only appear to want a women, you don't need her. She needs to feel like if not her, there is surely another.

And surely attractiveness is a piece of this puzzle. But I have seen some very attractive men go on the most extensive dry spouts and some not so attractive men literally pulling the hottest women time and time again.

So in regards to my point. I used to believe the same thing about physical stature and being able to get women. It wasn't until I had really began to live in TRP mentality that I saw that it was not true. If you really look around, there are so many guys so obsessed with their own physical shape that they literally couldn't score on an open net. They have lost all touch with reality. They do not know how to talk to women. They get overly confident, which ironically appears to everyone else as unconfident. This belief can do more harm then good. Guys would rather work on their biceps for 3 hours a day instead of becoming financially independent. Or they are afraid to have a few drinks or go out to dinner because they are "cutting"

Not saying you aren't, but just be aware of your surroundings. Keep hitting the gym, but use some of that effort in other areas and you will really be making a killing.

My plan of action for my descendants is to use my delusional confidence to lock down a tall European woman and pump her full of babies. I'm neither tall nor short but I have excellent facial aesthetics and high intelligence. People who disregard looks are insane. They're more or less at the top of your social interactions. Simply having an attractive face or being tall will give you the benefit of the doubt in social engagements.

For no reason outside of your looks, people will like you. It helps with EVERYTHING in life. So treat your body like a temple, and, if you're going to reproduce, look for the traits that have the best chance of complementing your own. In my case I need to bang tall chicks. Yet, I post a picture of a super hawt guy on Tinder/Okcupid and act borderline BETA and girls come flocking for my cawk. I See posts like this on red pill reddit. I go out with my buddy who is a legit 8/10 and he gets laid most of the time IF HE WANTED TOO. And is "game" is just average at best.

I'm 6'4" 185 lbs, maybe 15-16% body fat. Just started working out a couple of months ago at a gym. Been actively trying to gain since last year when i was 175. I was like 150 a few years ago at the same height. I have had jack shit all time in my life with girls. My only mental obstacle is my body. This post pretty much verifies that I just need to get ripped. I want to be like 200lbs, 10% body fat. I'm also nearly 5 months into hard mode no fap and its driving me nuts because i haven't released at all in so fucking long. Looks aren't everything, but they are a part of a short list of qualities that determine your success with the opposite sex. I guess being aesthetically pleasing can be bundled along with height and fashion sense into the category of looks. Added to that would be status, masculinity and social prowess. They're the only things that matter. Three of the four can be dramatically improved within 6 to 12 months. Status is the most difficult but you can afford to be weak in one of the four.

I have a rule of four.

If you're strong in one of the four, you'll attract few women. If you're strong in two, you'll attract some women. If you're strong in three, you'll attract many women. If you're strong in four, you'll attract all women.

I get your point, but exaggerating is not the way to lead other people into believing what you're saying. If you've been a 3, you couldn't possibly become a 10. You mean to say face is everything (provided you're not a dwarf, or otherwise disfigured) - and if your face is a 3, it'll shoot to a maximum of 5 with the right hairstyle and perhaps the addition of a beard etc. I also strongly doubt you get "thousands" of matches on Tinder. I look pretty good and currently have 100. Granted, I haven't been on Tinder for that long, but still - some of the girls I get matched with are ugly because I just swipe right on everything, 'cuz lazy.

The face is extremely important, though. I'm only 5'9" and I don't work out particularly much, and I still get more girls than almost all of my friends, even if they're more alpha, taller or buffer than me. My face definitely carries me. No doubt. But it's still not -everything-. A lot of things come into play when speaking of attraction.

Being a guy who went from 6'4 160 lbs at 18 to 6'4 235 lbs at 26, I will agree with this wholeheartedly.

A couple of days ago, I was going through an old back-up of iPhone pictures on an old computer trying to find something. I came across a selfie I had taken in the mirror of an old apartment shirtless.

I often look in the mirror and I'm moderately happy with what I see, but I took another picture in the same pose - and holy god. It really clicked what a few solid years in the gym coupled with taking general better care of myself has done. I won't lie - it was fucking glorious. I fucked a lot of girls when I was smaller, but the quality and frequency of girls initiating these interactions in the last year or two has gone through the roof - I thought it was solely because I'd become more financially successful and worked on my game.

I actually was resenting it a little bit before I realized what had happened. I thought I was just roping more girls looking for BB and surprising them with AF and closing that way. No, I was attracting better and hotter girls because I genuinely look better, and because of that - everything else is enhanced.

A side anecdote: Today a former plate I haven't talked to in a few months (HB7.5 to be honest, good looking though) texted me 'accidentally' trying to text someone else with the same name. I invited her over to watch the Jays game and drink a few beers. She drove over an hour to see me, fucked my brains out, and left to drive an hour back only three hours later to go to work. This is a scenario out of my wildest dreams - being able to call a 'barely' plate and have ridiculous sex with her, with her making all the sacrifices to make it happen. This wouldn't have happened before.

First off, a large part of your argument is based off of Tinder. Well no fucking shit. Tinder is a meet market because all girls really have to go on are your looks.

Second, I would be willing to bet that a lot of your improved results didn't necessarily come from the fact that you were better looking, but that because you were better looking, acted in a way that was congruent with a high value man. It's easier to justify and you don't have this cognitive dissonance going on.

But make no mistake. When it comes to who is actually fucking, looks are not helping. You only think they do, and so ironically they end up helping you because now you have alpha swag that women go crazy for.

You might think you were acting in the same manner but I can guarantee you were not. The little things that women pick up on that determine what a man thinks about himself are so subtle that it's extremely difficult to pinpoint unless you know what to look for.

I go out all the time. I'm in really good shape and overall a good looking guy. But when my game sucks I get blown out like everybody else. And when it's on, I crush. Try going out to real life venues and picking up girls and you will eventually come to the same conclusion.

Yeah this is actually true. I was an ugly as fuck teenager and I also I was fat and didn't know how to groom or dress. Now in my late twenties I've discovered that I'm actually quite attractive. I'm lean, muscular and dress well. Now if a girl likes the look of me I can say whatever the fuck I want. I'm not funny. But she will laugh. And all of a sudden she'll be interested in some of my more obscure hobbies like calligraphy. I still have to apply game principles to get laid, so I do a lot of kino, push/pull and know how to escalate, but it's pretty easy. If a girl doesn't find me attractive then it's difficult (I'm like 7-8 so not every girl finds me super attractive).
