One of the main themes on FDS when they're not bitching about men in general is "leveling up", meaning they're more in control of their lives now and not letting men dictate their happiness. Sounds like a good thing, right? It is, for them. There are a myriad posts on how they used to date losers in the past. It's especially common to talk about how they used to be really nice and giving, but were in a relationship with an asshole who didn't reciprocate/didn't care, so now they don't do that anymore. Great, good for her. Except what does this mean for a new man entering this woman's life? It means he'll get someone who is now selfish, high maintenance, and with emotional baggage. Again, the reasons may be justified but it doesn't change the reality. Why should the new guy suffer because she dated assholes in the past? And the higher the n-count, the more likely this becomes. Agree/disagree?
