Literally anyone in the running subs is excessively familiar with the absurd bullshit female runners are subjected to. Just earlier today a man sped up his car to try to soak me with side of the road puddle water after a downpour. Another shouted out his window at me and called me a b*tch for going when I clearly had the right of way.

Any given man could decide to go after me while I’m outdoors exercising. I would rather be armed than take the risk.

I remember when I was 16 and doing an internship, I had to walk home alone one day because my mom wasn't available to drive me. I walked 20 mins in my suburban town in one of the wealthiest areas in the country. I was honked at too many times to count. Thank god no one stopped and tried more than that.
