I have to cut off part of my child's penis because if I don't some random woman somewhere in the future might not want to suck it or have sex with him. I wouldn't want to deprive my son of sex with women who literally won't do it if I don't cut off pat of his penis, because those type of people are the perfect match for my son.... Well after I cut off part of him of course.

Nobody should have the right to force their child to get circumcised, that should be THEIR choice when they're of age. They're cutting of a natural part of you for no good reason and without even giving you the freedom to choose, it's disgusting.

Guys, please feel free to delete this if it isn't the right place, but I have discussed circumcision with my husband and he has been against getting any son we have circumcised (we have no kids, I'm not pregnant RN so its just hypothetical discussion). I agree with this sub that circumcision is genital mutilation but my husband is the one defending it and saying uncircumcised penises are "weird" and that he's grateful he was circumcised. How can I explain this to him from a male point of view?

I swear to god, like 80% of the adults I interact with just have no capacity to actually reflect on anything. Their tastes, their morality are all just inherited from their peers and media. My sister didn’t think twice about getting it done for her son. And given she was a very lazy parents in the beginning, getting a little better now, she didn’t take care of it. So it would grow back time and time again and the skin would have to be broken. It would make this loud ass “POP” and of course he cried. It just pisses me off so bad, like WHY. I wish I could ask that to the parents who agree to have it done, like did they even research. “I want him to look like his dad” is such a weird reason (IMO) if I was ever lucky enough to have a child I would never.

This fucking hygiene argument drives me crazy. I have a normal, uncircumcised penis and it is no harder to keep clean than any other party of my body.

My foreskin is an invaluable part of my body, I wouldn't trade it for a million quid.

Im sorry but I dont understand the current controversy around circumcision. From what I understand the pros outweigh the cons for it in a sanitary sense and thats why it became such a norm in north america to begin with. I had it done and ive never thought im missing a piece of myself, never wished my parents didnt do it, never cared that it was not my decision. As far as im concerned my young parents were given the option, told the benefits outweigh the problems with it and they did what they thought was in my best interest.

Maybe im missing something? Ive been seeing talk about this for a while now and just have been trying to understand it. Ive been reluctant to post this question because I know ill get downvoted like mad and called names and shit but I just want to see if in missing something here.

I don’t know much about this topic as I was circumcised as a baby. I really don’t know the difference between having a circumcision or not having one so I don’t know how to feel about this post. If someone could explain it that would be great.

To be fair, we have no idea whether this was a medical situation or not. When I was a child, I was close to circumcision myself because my foreskin was just way to tight for my age. Thankfully it stretched and I was finally able to cleanse myself so no infections or bacterial shit would happen, but some foreskins just refuse to stretch.

He could have had a condition or sanitary problem. Not everything is made to supress (y'all are starting to sound like feminists, making problems where there aren't). Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see much of a problem with circumcision and the pros vs cons
