Can someone explain the whole alpha fucks/beta bucks thing to me? Do you think it’s real? What are your thoughts. It sounds downright terrifying.

I think it’s extremely stupid, because it takes away your agency as a male. If you have a partner that you feel is using you for money, you can leave at any time. If you feel uncomfortable about their sexual past, you also may leave at any time, although that will never matter if they truly make you happy.

It's really a very old generalization about dating that applies to both genders but has been manipulated by the redpill to apply to only women. It's the tendency in young people to form unstable relationships when they are young, and stable relationships when they are older. Redpill has distorted this behavior in a way that paints women as whores who change their minds about relationship goals when they "hit the wall" and will "settle" for men with money after the alphas have abandoned her. In reality, both genders usually have different goals when they reach a certain level of maturity which looks towards the future, are likely to have a higher income, and desire different traits in a partner.

If you are brainwashed, you might look at this common behavior through red-colored glasses, especially if you are a man who has trouble finding dates during this early phase of fleeting relationships. It would be easy for them to excuse the behavior of good-looking men and only blame women for their lack of options.

It’s a dumb concept created by insecure dudes who don’t understand relationships and intimacy, and are sad they’re not having casual, no string attached sex with attractive women.

This is only “true” if you see sex and relationships as transactional for resources. Don’t marry a sugarbaby and you should be fine. This isn’t a thing people in healthy, normal relationships are concerned with.

The idea is that “alpha” guys are the ones that women find arousing and sexually attractive, the guys that they lust for. While a “beta” guy is a guy who isn’t sexually appealing but provides security in terms of money, loyalty, etc.

In my opinion it's the difference between a good looking/charming whatever guy who is selected by women for casual sex often, and will have had a number of casual sexual encounters. Versus a guy who lacks sex appeal, but the woman values his security, financially and otherwise. She trusts he will stick around and look out for the kids etc. This is a guy who will not be selected for casual sexual fun much through his life by females. I don't think it is really about money alone, more describes the stable provider loyal family man type.

So a woman will have fun when she is single with good looking guys who offer a fun time. But she will be more inclined to settle down for a guy with less sex appeal, who treats her well, is dependable, loyal, has a good job, will present well to her family etc.

I believe it is true to some extent, however of course there is some middle ground a lot of men would fall into.

Okay so I dated a retired air-force pilot back in 2017 He was former state department and a lot of people seemed to defer to him. His attitude of being top brass came with a certain obnoxious bossy personality constantly quarterbacking people about. His general demeanor and military bearing often includes barking out orders in a mildly impolite tone. I am a woman he is dating not a new recruit obviously. He never says please or thank you. He was a Purple Heart veteran who got his nose shot off in ‘nam but the plastic surgeon did a great job on the face reconstruction. He was at the end of human life expectancy, tall but slim, clean and dapper well groomed, balding like a tennis ball, with a wispy grey combover. His skin looked mottled with age spots, his face far older than methuselah. He had a special concealed carry permit and he packed heat every where he went even to pick up a gallon of milk at the store and this along with being paranoid and jumpy because he had severe PTSD. Personality 1/10. Physique 3/10. Money 8/10. If I wasn’t hoping to get married and move to a better neighborhood that included a rent free living situation in a spacious house with a pool would we even be having this conversation? Throw in some medical benefits along with the car keys and a gasoline card and we might even have sex once a week. He’s not “beta” obviously but he has drastic personality flaws that alter the way women relate to him. No, I am not mindlessly humping a cadaver, and for some men their sexual market value is a negative number. It takes additional perks and benefits to get this deal to go through.

Just like everything in RP, there's truth in that this scenario does happen, but it's over generalized and the extent to which it happens is greatly exaggerated.

Say if you do end up with a woman who "had her fun" in her early 20s with a bunch of "alpha hot guys" she did all sorts of crazy stuff, only to decide to "settle down" with you in a stable yet passionless relationship while fantasizing about all the wild crazy sex she used to have, there's absolutely nothing stopping you from dumping her ass.

In reality, there are tons of women out there who crave a man who can provide both stability and crazy, passionate sex.

I'd say many of the men who are desirable to women tend to be some mix of classic "alpha" and "beta" desirable traits, they're really not mutually exclusive like RP would have you think.

Also, one very toxic thing I've noticed with RP guys is when you see a post on Reddit where a guy is in a situation where he's discovered his female SO is just settling for him, the RP guys come out of the woodwork and start shitting on him and laughing at him for being a "beta buxx", when they should be helping said guy feel empowered to know that he deserves better.

I'll explain as best I can:

"Betabucks": Men who are primarily used for their wallet. These are the kind of men who wish that women were genuinely attracted to them whether it be physically and/or emotionally. However these guys have found themselves in situations where women don't want to spend time with them unless they pull out money from their wallets. This can be in the form of excessive dinner dates, gifts etc. Many guys are in this category without realizing it; some guys are conscious they are in this category and are ok with it. In my opinion, it's a terrifying place to be.

"Alpha Fucks": This is supposed to represent men who don't have to rely on money and/or excessive gift giving to attract women. These men are able interact with women without using money as a crutch. They are more forward with their intentions; generally have attractive physical characteristics and appear to be strong mentally on the surface.

If you strip away how the terms sound, you can reduce the level of cringe associated with them as well. At the very least, I believe men should avoid the "beta bucks" category at all costs.

I guess it's valid if the only variables in your model are varying genetic fitness between individuals and energy constraints involved in maintaining gamete production and gestation for each sex. Actual human life has far more going on like culture and emotions and values and weird personal idiosyncracies that can't be explained that overlay and disrupt 'pure' biology constantly so its predictive power is severely limited. I guess if we lived in an extremely competitive environment with no social organisation and scarce resources then maybe but I take it you don't live in such an environment, having access to the internet and all.

Are there men who chased superficial but physically attractive women and whiplashing to look for women who are less superficial but also less physically attractive in when these men are older? Yes there are. Just look at how many people posting about guys who used to ignore or bully them in highschool now reaching out after these women have built a happy lives for themselves.

Are there women who chased looks over anything when they are younger and then going for the husband material later in life? Yes of course.

It is not terrifying, it is just...human? There are people also who want to just be married and live together only with the person they lost their virginity to. There people who wanted to have many sexual experiences with many people first before settling down.

As a high earning alpha woman I find the best man is a combination between alpha and beta they are out there but they are hard to find. Beta men are usually total pushovers and won't stand up to you at all, that is boring. But beta men don't take issue with a female breadwinner, they tend to have more emotional intelligence than alpha men and they see women as their equals, share housework and child rearing, many are even primary care takers. Many high earning alpha women are attracted to alpha men, but alpha men are not attracted to them. It's a constant battle for power, they cannot see the woman as their equal they want to be on top and so they constantly butt heads, with no one giving in. He wants his career to be first and he does not like a woman who takes control in any situation, and her making more money is intimidating. But he also is not a pushover, he takes control when needed. They also tend to cheat more and be womanizers. For women seeking a truly equal relationship a combination of both is needed.
