Edit: Actually, forget this reply. After months of bloviation and listening to/arguing with TRP recoveries/addicts, I’ve finally cracked it, and articulated the fundamental problem with Red Pill, as I see it. Seriously, I’m kinda hyped right now.

The red pill conceit is actually stupidly simple when you ignore all the jargon and pseudoscience. It goes:

On the one hand, you’re frustrated women aren’t falling over themselves to fuck you. And this feels unfair.
On the other hand, it kinda makes sense you might need to put in work of some kind to breathe the rarefied air of Chad Life.
On the other other hand, who wants to “understand women” or “make compromises” to get sex and admiration and attention? What to do?!
Just have it all, of course! Work for stuff you would want anyway: Money, muscles, professional success, etc. Leverage that to get more dates. Like a lot of dates. This will take work. See the theme? Since you’re working hard and getting benefits, you must be becoming a better partner. But that word is gay and implies peer-hood. So let’s call it “jacking your sexual market value”, which has the added benefit of reducing your worthiness — and hers — to surface qualities, and facile compatibility.
Still not getting it, bro? Literally just take all your bullshit entitlements and insecurities and relationship fears and innate loathing of women, translate all that into “preferences” (just simple, personal preferences… harmless!) and keep dating and not compromising, use verbal abuse if necessary (just kidding, it’s always necessary because evolutionary psychology or something), and surround yourself with women whose reaction to that is “Cool. I think?”
Every part of this numbers game that does not appear to work or make sense is because feminism or you don’t lift enough.

Ta da! Now you never have to change in any way to accommodate another person, except insofar as they happen to be attracted to stuff you obviously wanted to be or have anyway.

I believe that the red pill has massive appeal because it presents a black and white picture of the world. It offers answers to complex questions about human nature.

The problem is that human nature isn’t black and white, and female psychology doesn’t actually fit into a digestible box. It’s the result of huge over-projections made by deeply insecure people.

And have disproved that the pills were real. I have also been having good interactions with the opposite sex online. It’s a cultic way of thinking that tries to predict human behavior as if we were machines. It also tends to ascribe masculine thinking and motivation to feminine behavior, which obviously results in failure. In my experience, these types of men seem to operate from a jealousy toward women. It’s like they think women got an inherent advantage by being born female, and they want to erase that advantage. Perhaps they secretly want to be women, I don’t know.

They seem to be seeking to erase any natural advantage women might actually have, which is absurd, since society is clearly still geared toward men in the area of money and success. It’s like a slave master saying: “These slaves seem to be developing a natural ability toward music through the songs they’ve developed while picking cotton. I am now going to forbid singing in the fields.”

Overgeneralizes a lot. Attempts to convince people that a person has an intrinsic value that somehow dictates the sexual hierarchy on the world, which is not only false, but stupid. Most of the speakers make a lot of money from people trying to become whatever they say it's cool (alpha, high value or whatever). Disregards women opinion completely unless their opinion aligns with whatever RP preaches. Objectifies not only women, but men as well, an example is calling the phenomenon of people knowing each other to find a partner "dating market", like we're products or something. It low-key and sometimes directly preaches hatred towards women.

It is pseudoscientifical, often not citing any scientific source and when they do, it's for a statistic that doesn't show anything and they interpret whatever they want, but none of that was the conclusion of the paper; or often just cite a paper that doesn't say anything of what they claim.

I am reading a book on the history of marriage and there is so much of history they get wrong. The whole 1950s single earner circumstance was a fluke of history due to the industrial revolution and the proliferation of cash economies. Prior to that, both men and women shared all the work, typically on a farm as peasants. Domestic labor was considered both a masculine and a feminine virtue. What's interesting is that women had no opportunity to be "hypergamous" because they had no control over who they married. In many societies, a woman with a good dowry and good kinship relations were highly sought after brides, suggesting that it wasn't the women who were hypergamous, if that's even an appropriate term, but the man and his parents. The biggest infusion of wealth and property in a man's life was often on his wedding day. I mean there are some crazy stories about how men stole other men's wives just for the in-law kinship connections.

The modern equivalent to a good dowry would be a high earning woman with her own property and networking connections. It really baffles me that RP is so threatened by successful women...in the past this would have been seen as a great partner.i mean such a woman is even in the Bible as an example of an "excellent wife" (Proverbs 31). I guess the main difference between then and now is not that women have money, it is that women have rights. They can earn their own property, their own income, etc. People also do not marry for survival, economics, or politics anymore, but for love and companionship. This makes the dating process highly individualized, which significantly increases its difficulty.

RP does not make women out to be malicious. If that’s what you’re hearing you’re clearing hearing it from a lousy rep. They may think or behave in ways some men may not like but they’re not malicious . They’re humans who look out for themselves above all and you have to accept it or not engage with them. They can be kind and nurturing but they have little patience for guys who they are in an LTR with and become losers. Because dehumanizing other people can lead to violence and in the red pill community we know that it has. Plus generally it is such a competitive and adversarial way to look at human relationships both with the desired mates and with the competition. Once you learn how to think critically, you realize that they get all of their facts by purposely misreading research (or using studies that are not peer reviewed or scientifically valid) and then working backwards to support their claims and anecdotes.

It’s a movement that comes from a place of hurt, loneliness, and anger, and seems like a desperate attempt at some kind of social revenge.

It’s also a movement that relies on people being isolated and chronically online. People with social lives don’t over analyze dating. People who are friends with real couples and women would probably never come to those conclusions.

In the red pill world, everything is black and white, there is no nuance or grey area. But this goes against science…almost every psychology professor I’ve had has explicitly said that human psychology is never black and white. Humans are not formulaic. You can’t take your anecdotes, and then find some evolutionary biology study and say “all women are _, because science”. But I understand why the manosphere wishes the world was black and white, because life would be much more digestible and easy to understand. The red pill is so attractive to confused young men because it provides answers

Because everything they teach/preach can be refuted in real life...
For example, they all preach that men are logical and women are emotional....when studies CLEARLY show men are just as (if not more) emotional than women.
They preach that "alpha" men love YOUNGER women. Really?? How come a lot of "alpha" men choose older women (nick offerman, jason momoa, zlatan ibrahimovic).
"Women's only value is their fertility and beauty". Nope, women bring a lot more to the world than fertility and beauty. Every human being has immense value at any age.
"Women don't marry for love but what he can do for her". God, I don't even know how to respond to that lie....

Bottom line.....99% of all Redpill crap is bullshit. The 1% that says you need to workout and chase your purpose is common sense an shouldn't have to be taught.
