What bothers me even more besides the tone throughout the article (which seems very "OF COURSE I am OK with it and not jealous and I SO love his girlfriend" lady doth protest too much-ish) is that when it was shared on Facebook, someone commented that it reeks of self-esteem issues and a bunch of PickMes commented that "No, someone has to be very secure to not be jealous, this is high self-esteem" as if people have to be OK with sharing their partner to be seen as secure. I don't know the writer personally so I don't know whether she really feels the way she claims in the article or not (my sense is that she's trying to convince herself her situation is OK), but I just so dislike this insinuation from people reading the article that if you're not OK with it you're somehow insecure. It sends such a bad message to women.

This is sad. It reads as passive and detached to the point of dissociation. Those jealousy pangs are her actual self coming through before she locks them down.

I just hope they're saving for therapy as well as college funds for those kids.

It sounds like the author and her husband have found themselves a bangmaid. The girlfriend sleeps with the husband, cooks family dinner, and babysits the kids for extended periods of time...? What the hells is she getting out of this arrangement aside from dick and dishes to wash?

Edit: To add, I feel really sorry for the girlfriend. I hope she recognizes that her needs are important, too, and she's being taken advantage of. She deserves more.

I’m secure and open-minded. I’m secure because my boyfriend is faithful and adores me and despite being an independent single mum, I’m increasingly open to the ideal of marrying him… because I’m secure due to him proving repeatedly how he respects and cares for me.
