So I am sitting here washing clothes and cleaning so I can enjoy the new years happy, alone, and tipsy. And I see an ad for bumble talking about marriage. There are about 4-5 women. One who was married (now divorce) a forever girlfriend currently, a single mother, a woman who just never wants to be married, and the "critical" speaker who brings in facts to support her. Most (all in fact) of the women do not see the point of long term commitment legally aka marriage, but all the women want a man to commit to them forever. This makes no sense to me like at all. One woman says she doesn't see the point, another (single mother) says she always just wanted to focus on her career, the other (forever girlfriend) says her BF and her don't want it. I do not understand commitment in the form of halfway.

You sleep with a person every night, procreate with them, buy a house, live together, and are together why don't you get married? The women kept restating if a man doesn't want to marry you that doesn't mean he won't be committed. This sounds like the boss level of pick-me to me. And to know bumble is promoting it. I think society wants to push not getting married. But I think society should be pushing not getting married unless it's the right person. What do you guys think. Bumble pushing B.S for the new year. I am glad all my apps are gone.

Edit: Oh yeah they also tell people it's to have children out of wedlock. The critical speaker using more children being born out of wedlock as a statistic to support why everyone should do it. They then say women and men can be committed to the child without marriage. Even though facts show children in married homes are more stable then those that aren't but I digress
