I was seeing a guy for a month and we seemed to have a great connection at the beginning-he was very giving and considerate and on the same wavelength as me. He had a family member pass a few weeks ago and I wanted to give him space. He reached out again this week and I gave him the opportunity to initiate a date before I left town. He seemed eager but by the time the last night I told him I’d be in town came, it was radio silence. He asked if he could call me this afternoon but then didn’t follow up. I checked his snap location (I know) and he had already left town himself. I can’t tell if he is still grieving or if he’s blowing me off. I think if he wasn’t ready to reach back out to me he should’ve communicated that before getting my hopes up. I blocked him everywhere for my own sanity. The damage is done but I just need FDS’s honest take on if I overreacted or did the right thing here.
