Followup to yesterday's question: When do you first remember being told that a boy is mean to you when he likes you?

My first memory is in second grade so I must have been eight or nine. My second grade teacher told me while I was sitting with her at recess, probably in reference to one of several boys I found obnoxious.

This is a followup to a question I posed yesterday asking about being assigned in school to sit next to disruptive boys and manage their behavior. Since this is a repeating pattern that leads to obedience under patriarchy, I'm classifying it as a patriarchal cultural custom.
