Kinda how in a study a few years ago about 1/3 of men said that they would force a woman to have sex with them if they never faced the consequences for it, but when asked if they would rape a woman (again no consequences) the number dropped to about 1/10.

It’s not the action they are opposed to, it’s the word used to describe it.

I got employee of the month at my job a couple months ago, to this day one of my male colleagues is still salty about it. When he found out I was picked he said "ITS JUST BECAUSE YOURE A WOMAN AND A MINORITY" when my job has multiple departments and different people were picked for all of them. Now when i come into work he literally drives me crazy, asking me to do more work than everyone else and assuming mistakes being made are my fault even when theyre not. Funny thing is, you get employee of the month based on customer compliments, thats it, he thinks i put myself on that wall, well i guess in a way i did.

My grandfather is mostly a HVM but he even believes this. It’s just engrained in male culture, especially with older generations. It’s really hard to find work for women if you don’t know someone or have a strong network.
