How do you think we got into a patriarchal society in the first place? The whole core of patriarchy is about keeping female sexual selection under control. Forced marriage, taking the husband's name, adultery severely punished for women, the whole concept of (female) virginity, men's psychosis around paternity testing, there isn't a single thing in patriarchal societies that does not go back to the idea men can't handle having to compete for women. Every other animal species puts up with it, but men are the only males that kill their own females over it. That's how fragile they are.

If patriarchy had never existed, men would probably be more attractive than they are today. They might even have manes like male lions! Oh, the stuff we missed out on!

YES. I’ve legitate had some of the ugliest/unkempt guys judge me on my appearance and comment on what I should do to please THEM when they themselves were fat, resembled beanpoles, had recessed chins and more.

Agreed, in almost every indigenous culture in the western hemisphere men have to impress women. Those outfits you see decked in feathers when the dance? For ladies. Even most of the dancing is to impress women. Men would dance in their best outfits to impress their partners. Even my ancestors, mayan/aztec danced and did feats of strength for women. Viking men looked after themselves and even wore perfume. Their wives controlled all the money and put them on allowance. Mothers were considered prime partners as they had proven fertility.

These men today ain't shit. My soul is too old to put up with them.

I'm more a fan of the big rugged guy, but overall health/fitness and good hygiene is VERY important. I don't care about fashionable clothes but if you're on a date, you should look like you put some effort in.

It's 2020, women should stop settling for men who just shower and call it a day.

We need to be seduced and looks are important for that. And by looks i don't mean the face symmetry one is born with, but the style they create for themselves (fashion, hair, etc. ).

I agree. It's hard to find an ugly woman (imo) because even if she wasn't graced with good DNA, she'll take good caree of herself, do her hair, wear make up, skincare routines, eat healthy, exercise, wear nice clothes and bam, she's a hottie.

Men, on the other hand, their face doesn't do them favors, and they're still overweight, never work out, only eat junk food, long and untidy hair, they grow beards and never trim or clean it, wear clothes that a 12yo would wear. "women are so shallow!!!"

Technically it's the truth .... In nature all the males shine/have to attract a mate..

They do so with: physical strength (bucks fighting), pretty colors and looks which signal health and worthy genes (birds of all kinds, healthy coats on other animals) gifts and support (bringing food, building nests, penguins give pretty rocks lol) list goes on and on.

men won't even try with the bare minimum of showering, shaving, combing hair and putting on a smart outfit. like if they all at least did that 80% of them would immediately become 50% more dateable, genetics aside.

but yes, i've always loved beautiful males most aren't worth a second look. will i base my attraction entirely on it? no, but it does help.

Ever seen a guy's attractiveness do a 180 because he grew OR cut his hair? Or because he stopped wearing hats? Or because he changed his style of pants? Or because he shaved/grew a beard or EVEN just a mild moustache?

That shit is so much easier than shaving half your body everyday, growing giant glutes or paying for implants (no shame if you have, it's just more effort than showering and washing your balls lol), or any of the other INTENSE shit that women allegedly need to be baseline "dateable."

I agree with this. Even if you’re of average attractiveness, dressing well in clothes that fit and suit you makes SOOOOO much difference. Growing up, I was always seen as unattractive by my family, but when I started dressing well (used Instagram for inspiration as I’m plus size), the compliments started pouring in. I always get compliments about what I wear, because I wear clothes that flatter my figure, and highlights certain features. Many guys need to do the same and start thinking about their fashion.
