I spoke to another woman who was in an abusive relationship, and we were talking about how our bodies would get inexplicably sick (Not stds, just UTIs, BV, or yeast infections) with certain partners and then not with others.

With my abusive ex, my immune system became weak, and I was always getting savage infections despite being ocd about vaginal health, hydration, showering after sex etc .. I’d get tested, and was always clean, so it was a vicious cycle of non std infections, the only different variable being him..

I would be in pain in bed, and spent a summer switching between antibiotics, trying to kill it. it’s half fixed, but ongoing... it was my body trying to tell me to stop. Don’t stick it out if your body is getting absurdly sick around a partner for ‘no reason’. I think the body knows what’s up and it’s like gtfo by making sex hard for you. Be picky about what goes inside your wonderful body, because you only have one.

A friend once taught me how to make your own boric acid capsules for BV at home. EVERYBODY .SHOULD .KNOW .THIS. ❤️

This another reason why we shouldn’t jump into sex with a guy before commitment. Once hooked up with a guy then got a yeast infection shortly after. Not worth the mediocre sex with his pencil dick

Most recently, I had been struggling to stay chill with a co-worker who was obviously super into me. I didn't want to date him for a number of reasons, obviously dating a co-worker is a bad idea, but something about the guy just rubbed me the wrong way

I found out he has a gf secretly or has just broken up with her recently, he had been creeping on me while they were still dating tho

Thinking about the long term outcome of any relationship with him is what caused me to probe his social media and discover his gf. I never fully felt sexually attracted to him because of that sneaking suspicion and I'm so glad I looked into it. Never fully felt like he'd be worth going all the way with, and I was right. I was intending to marry a really nice man last year. Then he traumatized me through no fault of his own, so I broke up with him, and he took it hard but well. He insisted I keep the apartment and then paid half of the rent for the remainder of the year.

He was great, but he wasn't the one. And his semen was DISGUSTING! It was like battery acid. I also got UTIs multiple times with him. One time it even went to my kidneys and I could feel exactly where those organs were due to the pain. My kidneys are definitely at my right lower back lol

Anyway the moral is that my body knew he wasn't the one for me, even if he treated me very well. And now I'm with a man I intend to marry again, and his tastes like water 🤠

For the first time, I’m in a relationship with someone and not feeling like I’m “disrupted” down there...The man I’m with has been diagnosed with OCD that centers around cleanliness. He has various compulsions, but the main ones are where he washes his hands, brushes his teeth, and showers in excess. He’s been to therapy and worked on it a lot. He was motivated to seek help before we met because he really wants a family and a relationship (he understands that children are so messy and in order to have a relationship, he simply can’t spent the entire day going back and forth between re-showering and re-brushing his teeth). I have the upmost respect for him for working through so much of this (and it makes him very sympathetic to my own mental health issues.) It’s no longer debilitating, but he’s definitely got a more in depth hygiene routine than most people. I just can’t believe that it took a man to have a literal clinical obsession with cleanliness for me not to be adversely impacted by his bacteria....

Been nearly a year since I've been with a man.

Only time I get like a YI is due to sweating too much and not changing fast enough. What is great though is that when it happens I don't have to worry about it possibly being a STD. If I don't feel good or have breast tender shit I don't have to worry about "oh, am I pregnant?" (Pull out with partner/ not on BC because $$$).

Anyway- it is such a refreshing feeling not have to worry about it anymore. Like I get excited just knowing I don't have to worry about any of it anymore.

And what is even better is when I was reckless I never caught anything. So lucky there and not messing with that luck anymore.
