So I was just thinking about this, and I'm curious what your takes are on it. To me it seems men end relationships or end things with a woman they are dating for vastly different reasons than women.

When hearing/reading about women's reasons it's almost always something to do with their partners/dates not being able to communicate, going silent, being abusive/putting them down. Other reasons can be a partner's lack of ambition, lives not moving in the same direction etc. And the worst one of all, when he cheats on them.

When reading about reasons men end things, it's often to do with themselves and not the woman they are seeing. They leave because they think they can do better, because she hurt his ego in some way, he decides he still wants to date other people, he thinks a relationship will just hold him back (the old ball and chain crap).

So I'm starting to get the idea that women often end relationships for reasons that have to do with their partners not being able to give them what they need, while men end things because of more selfish/egotistical reasons.

What do you ladies think about this?
