This post made me think of two things: first off it reminded me of when these zealot religious people decided to have a straight parade to counteract the pride month parade. Secondly it made me think of the men who like anime; (hear me out) alot of the times the main character in anime directed at guys is supposedly the weakest, most abused by society person while simultaneously being the strongest and most powerful. I think it perfectly demonstrates men's psyche as they view themselves as being both a victim and a power to behold.
