Be aware that most women are still 100% in the patriarchy. These women in the documentary are victims of the system and our society has failed them.

Here at FDS we see the system, the patriarchy, for what it is and arm ourselves against these practices. The best we can do is keep converting women to the cause, and uphold our own boundaries and standards. The world is sick. Netflix could have done with a societal critique at the end of this documentary. Now it’s just that Simon Leviev guy and “not all men”.

I appreciated the woman at the end who started selling his clothes lol. But in the end she’s powerless too.

YOU KNOW WHATS CRAZY! I was watching this movie w my homegirl.. Use to go to college w her and reconnected in the past few months. We recently became friends. we were talking about whatever when the credits started rolling and I brought up FDS. Sure enough she ended up joining the sub.

Am currently watching it. I don’t want to sound like I’m victim blaming, (spoiler alert for those who haven’t watched it yet)

but on what planet is it a sensible idea to go abroad with, or give your passport details to someone you’ve only just met? I thought that going home with/inviting someone back to my home on the first date was a bad idea, but wow.

I had the same thoughts. I wasn’t trying to victim blame but this could’ve been avoided easily. They really lost me when sis was taking out LOANS for a BILLIONAIRE SON. And this was all within a year or so of meeting him. And these women were grown! I’ll expect that thinking from 18-20 year olds. Just wow.

The first lady (Cecilia) really worried me. I know she is victim and her trust has been violated. But I hope she has seen a therapist and worked on her attachment issues because if I understood the documentary well, they have dated for only a month before he asked her for money, and they had the time to become exclusive and look for appartement to live together ? And considering they have probably seen each other only 4 or 5 times since he was always on the run. That is way too fast, even if he wasn't a liar and a swindler, she could still have ended with a terrible NVM. I hope her views on dating, love, and relationships have changed, even if she is still on Tinder.

Nearly made this exact post myself. I couldn't watch it all the way through because I just kept mentally screaming "HOW MANY RED FLAGS DO YOU WANT TO IGNORE?!"

These weren't naïve girls, these were adult, successful women who chose not to pay attention to things that are clearly not right. I 100% am victim shaming, because this is plain dumb. Like those middle aged women who believes that Abdul the Egyptian waiter 30 years her junior believes she's the most beautiful woman in the world and loves her for their shared interests and sense of humour, despite his limited ability to speak English.

Why would a successful man from a wealthy family have to borrow money from a girlfriend, and don't be lending men money anyway, FFS!

Looking for a financially well off man? He's not going to flaunt his money on a first date if he's serious about finding a relationship.

Why are you on TINDER of all things in the first place?! It's a bin fire of scrotes looking for a quick lay. It is not a DATING app it is a HOOKUP app!

There are men who are out to get you - either in to bed or they want your money. Do not be doing shit that in any way puts you in a financial or personally vulnerable position unless you have legal safeguards - i.e. a marriage or legally binding and notarised/registered contract.

I watched this lastnight and ended up so mad that women still had the debts to pay at the end of it all and he only spent 15 months. Are you kidding me? There really is no justice in the world for women who go through any type of abuse.

Also, it's all yet another reason to not accept a coffee date. It means the boy is spinning plates and probably much more. That's how it started with all of them. Such a simple vetting tool that would have saved them.

I was yelling at the screen the whole time, red flag, red 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩!!!

But you know what? These women were innocent and had an innocent mindset. Not only that, but the dude was a fantastic con. All of us on FDS know better now and are working on it, but they simply did not at the time.

What really made me mad was the girl who said Tinder has nothing to do with it and she was back on it immediately.

Makes me mad that most women don't realize that OLD isn't spun in our favor. It's been made to benefit men and their sneaky bullshit. They mostly likely wouldn't have met a dude IRL like this. Also, he lovebombed them all via text to establish a false connection with them. Long winded texting with men really needs to stop.

All the "important" things he had to say to them should have been a phone call or FaceTime. With that, it's easier to detect the lies, you are reading facial expressions, etc.

They know now and have learned like I believe all of us on FDS had to do at some point. I'm still mad I ever gave a thousand dollars to a man to get his car out of repo (he sent me a veiled threat and I was legitimately scared of him by that point), and I can see how they fell into this.

Also, pay to search court records for the whole U.S. if you are actively dating, but ESPECIALLY if you are using OLD. That is a con and abuser's playground and hunting ground. Instantcheckmate has worked well for me as it will search records from all states and guys like this usually flee to other states, etc.

I don't feel bad for these women. The one-woman starts off talking about beauty and the beast, a cartoon where a woman was forced to stay with a man against her will. She stated that was her dream romance. Secondly, each one of these women could have googled the real billionaire and seen his sons. Who gives a man 10,000 dollars within months of dating?

These women had power and are victims of their desire to live in luxury and romance. Each had a phone, each had access to the internet and common sense.

If a man claims to be a billionaire's child who doesn't look it up? Who simply goes to their social media as proof. If you google Lev Leviev to the right you will see a list of his children: Shalom Leviev, Ruthie Leviev, Zvia Leviev Alazarov, Asher Leviev. If you believe wow he isn't listed put in both names into google at the time in which these women were dating nothing would pop up.
Who doesn't call the police when they believe a loved one is in danger? Who dishes out money to a man you met at most 4 times over a month time?

This is why I’m thankful that AIM existed for me as a teen. I would meet someone, build up an entire relationship with them in a matter of hours or days, then they would disappear, and my imaginary boyfriend would POOF be gone. I learned very early on that the stories we tell about people in our heads aren’t actually the true people we are “connecting” with.

When the first woman boarded on an international flight with a stranger and his BABY MOMMA?! I was done. She overlooked so many red flags.

Personally, I detest dating men with children. Especially small children under the age of 10. But a 2 year old?! Hell no. Plus, you just met this man and you’re playing it cool and just going along with everything?

I did love how the women joined forces and supported each other to get the police involved. It’s a shame he only served 5 months. That’s not nearly enough; I wish they would’ve gotten together to beat his ass. C’est la vie 😩

It was tough for me to watch because I know my past pickme self could have easily fallen into something similar to this. As in if a guy I was dating treated me very well and fell into trouble then I would’ve taken out loans for him but max $5k (coz I have my family to think of first)

I would have drawn the line at him having a kid though, not something I’d get involved in, but again this is pickme past me.

Wavelength -- same thoughts! Especially the money thing, OMG, just no. That's a great vetting tool, just always say NO to lending money, or make it legal, with a notarized receipt and paper trail so if it comes to that -- and it'll come to that -- you can take him to small claims court. But seriously, why bother? Just keep all money separate; it is just so much easier that way.

There were so many red flags with this guy, and yet, I hate to say, he is attractive, from a distance, a very long distance away! Just stand there and look pretty. Don't say anything, and don't ask me for anything! LOL

I don’t blame them one bit. I have fallen for MUCH less with men who couldn’t afford a coffee at the places he was taking them, let alone rolling around with bodyguards in Lambos and partying in Greece. The main takeaway I got from it is that he got away because Israel wasn’t tough on him and because he is a man. Now scrotes all over the world are probably buying his $300 course to learn how to scam women and praising him 🤢 I give him 5-10 years before he f*cks himself over again and really ends up in a hole, vile repulsive man.
