100% of pregnancies result from a man's orgasm yet it's all her fault she got pregnant. Right.

I'm fine with giving 100% responsibility to women as long as we also get 100% of the power.
If they want to insist that women are getting ourselves pregnant all by ourselves, then women can hold sole legal custody of children all by ourselves. Why would men have any legal standing in the first place, if women are the ones single-handedly making all the babies?

These dudes act like they don’t choose to come in and impregnate women. 😂 also pretend like single dads don’t get 10000 compliments for doing their own child’s hair but imagine If a single mom posted cutting their sons hair they would be blasted to hell and back

If only these shitheads could sit through 10 divorce proceedings involving kids. 😂😂😂
NEWSFLASH: 99.99999% of the time, child custody/visitation is jointly drafted and consented to by both parties. Judges aren’t running around making those decisions unless it’s contested, which it almost never is.
Men LOVE their sweetheart deal. They specifically REQUEST every other weekend, Thanksgiving and 4th of July weekend because they love getting the glory of being an “involved” father while also making minimal sacrifices to their newly single lifestyle. They do virtually no parenting in these arrangements but somehow still want to argue for equal say. Make that make sense, y’all 🥴

Also; abusive men are 50% more likely to go for full custody and try to deny access to their ex wives/ex gf. I don't trust a single dad with a sob story. I've never met a single dad who didn't say "their mother is psychotic" or "she left for a life of drugs and prostitution". Their sob stories all demonized their exes, the mother's of their children. Of course, I had them elaborate on their other relationships out of curiosity. Guess what? All "psychotic" 🙄
In roughly 70% of cases where the woman discloses in family court that she was abused, judges tend to label her mentally unstable and in a vindictive turn to punish her, they award full custody to the abuser. Never trust a single dad. Most of them are narcissistic abusers and looking for a replacement mommy to dump all the childcare on. And most refuse to date single moms as well.

Never trust a single dad
The office I used to work had at least two single dads with sole custody of their kids and one gave me serious creep, don't talk to him vibes, and the other one was 50+ year old, tried to treat me like I was his personal secretary (I was not an admin and our work groups were completely separate) and spent the rest of the time trying to steal my expensive textbooks.

Bwahaha! My ex husband went to my BFF and claimed that I just disappeared for 3 days before he realized that I’d left him. Little did he know that I’d already called her. She knew exactly what was up. And so did he.
But why THE FUCK didn’t he report me as missing if I just disappeared????
Lol. Dumb Scrote.

You’re exactly right. I’ve known a few fathers to go to court and they have all gotten 50/50 custody no problem

Having seen multiple women in my family get cheated out of spending time with their children by bitter, greedy men, this is one of the most infuriating false myths for me. Men don’t get custody because they don’t WANT custody. And most of the time, when they go for custody, it’s only to spite the mother or reduce their child support payments.
My sister’s ex took her to court to allow his girlfriend (who had been charged with abusing her own children in the past, btw) to watch my niece while he wasn’t around. He has more money and a better lawyer and he won. So my sister received less child support and had to leave her daughter with a convicted child abuser every other weekend.
Yeah, the courts reeeeally favor women. /s

I feel like an addition is necessary to your post. Part of the reason why everyone expects the mother to be the primary parent is because men never develop the skills needed to be a good primary parent, aren't even expected to. They don't know how to cook healthy meals. They don't keep their home clean. They don't make appointments with doctors or hairdressers or arrange playdates. They don't help with homework. If you want to have the most custody you should have to prove to the court that you know how to do more than the fun stuff.
[–]tallwomenneedlovetooFDS Newbie4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You’re free to add whatever you want but I’m not sure where in my comment you got anything about me expecting mothers to be primary parents when I was specifically speaking to the myth of men being unjustly treated in child custody cases?
I’ve drafted plenty of divorces (which include child custody and support worksheets) in my day and the vast majority of men just flat out don’t want to be bothered with their children from the beginning of the divorce. And that’s whether they were previously acting as the primary caretaker or not.
[–]RegularStatus5FDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh, I wasn't refering to what you thought. I meant society in general. It's widely accepted that should a couple divorce, mothers should have primary custody and as you said, men don't even ask for it. I was merely pointing out the stupidity and hypocrisy of the argument that family courts discriminate against dads.

“Women get to choose who they have sex with!” And men don’t? What is the point there?
ETA: lmao @ whoever decided to PM me talking about “make him glove up”. First of all, how is it the woman’s sole responsibility to use birth control methods? A grown ass man doesn’t need to be “made” to wear a condom, he makes a choice and needs to deal with the consequences of that choice.
Secondly, don’t come into my PMs with some shit you know is going to be downvoted to hell. Say it in public or keep it to yourself.
[–]aellopeFDS Newbie83 points84 points85 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
From the horse's mouth, don't have sex with any man you wouldn't want to have father your children. They would be furious if we actually lived by this rule.
[–]djfrankenjuiceFDS Newbie109 points110 points111 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
No no no. See men can have sex without being prepared to have children; women have to be prepared to have children to have sex (but should never mention it out loud).

Also if you’re a man and you impregnate a woman but you don’t want kids you’re a victim but if a woman is impregnated it’s 29999 percent her fault and if she gives birth against the man’s wish she’s a gold digger trapper but if she aborts against the man’s wish she’s a baby killer either way she has to risk her life for the man to feel better

I’ve heard this argument before. They say the woman is at fault because she had all the options. Meaning he only had one option of who to have sex with. They tell on themselves. They literally say they settle with whomever they can so it’s not their fault what baby mama they chose.
This is the same reason they cite divorce rates as being the woman’s fault. My dude no one told you to settle but you were being a desperate sac of shit.
This is why you throw out men who don’t put in the work to court you.

A High value commenter posted this and I agree but I did want to protect their privacy :
Yeah the idea that masculinity is blamed for issues children of single parents struggle with is something entirely new to me.
There's so many comments here about fathers being underappreciated but the reality for me has been fathers are praised for doing what is expected of mothers.
This is all anecdotal and I don't really see memes on the internet as evidence. If a father cares for his children he's usually regarded very highly especially amongst mothers who's partners don't.

"what data?"
Men who want custody get it 70% of the time even when they are abusers. I've even known women who were forced by the court to continue to see their fathers that raped them and molested them as children.

I wonder if anybody actually does have stats on how many men fight for custody in any meaningful way, compared to the number who slink off and hide from the child support office. Because we all know from the people in our own real lives that deadbeats grossly outnumber fighter dads.
I have known one actual fighter dad, he was trying to protect his teen daughters from the revolving middle aged party boys his ex-wife was letting party around their daughters in her home. He was genuinely high value, and would have roasted all the whiner men who make children, abandon them, then whine and act pitiful.
[–]Phoenix__Rising2018Ruthless Strategist35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh yeah there actually are lots of stats. Almost all custody cases are settled out of court because men don't fight to have much more than weekend visitation.
[–]queen_beastmodeFDS Newbie36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think Lundy Bancroft cites a statistic that the majority of fighter dads trying to get full custody or primary custody are actually abusers.
Average dads will either take whatever is legally mandated or less so the kids don't impact their single life too much.
[–]Hela_GumaFDS Newbie29 points30 points31 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My mother in law is judge in family court (Eastern Europe here), and she made some statistics of her own. It came out that in her case only 3% of men wanted full custody. 10% requesting for equaly divided custody.. and rest didn't care at all or actively avoiding it.
She also told me, that on "family court meet ups" there were judges who didn't expirienced a situation when men wanted custody at all...

My parents were married for 25yrs before they divorced and from the age of 10 I lived with mum full time with every second weekend at my dad - who neglected me. I had to feed and entertain myself. The only out was whatever religious thing he was into at that time (I was not allowed to make noise or fidget). He paid $7 a fortnight for child support. He soon started another family and even that piddling amount was less. My sister fell pregnant a year later accidentally- the pill failed after she became sick when living with her bf. So I got to see everything she went thru for the next 4 yrs as she moved back home. The reason my parents split was dad cheating several times, and sister’s bf was extremely immature asshole low life.

The court system is not biased, and gladly hands joint custody to the majority of fathers who ask for it.
More men and pickmes lying their way through life.
[–]Phoenix__Rising2018Ruthless Strategist64 points65 points66 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
The court system is actually very biased, in the favor of men. Men get custody even when they are abusers 70% of the time. Men's words and desires are placed high above the woman's and children's needs and safety again and again. Your abuser/kids abuser is actually more likely to get child custody if you even mention the abuse in court.
[–]queen_beastmodeFDS Newbie36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
This is the truth here. The court system is biased against women. The men on reddit forums who lost their custody cases, screaming that the courts are biased against men, have probably done some seriously heinous shit with legal repercussions.
[–]FirstdayinhellFDS Newbie30 points31 points32 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If they even lost the custody case at all. I know my own father was going around telling everyone how he would love to have contact with his children but isn't allowed to by the vindictive mother. In reality, there was nothing stopping him. They never went to court and still had joint custody. He just couldn't be bothered to contact us and said that so he wouldnt look like a deadbeat.
[–]queen_beastmodeFDS Newbie21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh yea, that too. They don't even bother and blame their lack of contact all on the mom when she's even spending way more effort than she should trying to get him to hang out with his own kids.

My biological father blamed 21 years of not reaching out on my mom, and when she passed, on me for being "hard to get ahold of."

[–]missisabelarcherFDS Apprentice6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes. This is the truth. Most courts now make assumptions that "parenting time" will be split evenly and that the child must have both parents in their life. It is moving to be much more "father-friendly."
From what my lawyer friends tell me anecdotally, increasingly more dads do want 50-50, but I do think many times it's to get out of paying more child support.
A friend of mine who was a SAHM is now going through a divorce from her LVM who's a workaholic and alcoholic and she is having a nightmare of a time because he wants 50-50 and yet he can't wrap his head around the fact that he still needs to pay alimony and support because she stayed at home while raising their kids and he makes a ton more than she is able to. He keeps hitting her with motion after motion trying to bleed her dry financially so she'll give up and also to punish her for finally having the guts to leave him. It took her ages to finally get a (female) lawyer who is fighting for her aggressively; her previous lawyer kept telling her to appease her husband in hopes he'd stop using the legal system to abuse her still.
The lesson: don't be a SAHM, and never give up your financial independence, ever. EVER. And don't trust the courts to be fair -- it's all too dependent on your lawyer, the judge you get, the county you live in, etc.

And good damn luck if your abusive ex/father of your children is a first responder or veteran. Because we all, as a community and as a nation, have an obligation to respect how they manifest their PTSD, and they have a god given right to treat their children like 9 miles of dogshit before prioritizing therapy. He's going through something don't you know????? Anyway let's all share a nice shocked Pikachu face when something terrible happens and/or the children are affected for life. Dads' rights y'all.
[–]ApprehensiveGiftBoxFDS Newbie11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There was a man I worked with that was a deadbeat dad. Constantly bitched about the child support he had to pay, talked shit about the mom and called his teenage daughter a slut. He even said that if his ex asked for more money he would go out and get 10 women pregnant, because apparently he thinks the government will let his ass off the hook if he has "too many children to pay for". And then he had the audacity to complain about how unfair the courts are to men and that his daughter doesn't love him (blamed his ex for that too).

The thing is most men pretend they’re someone they’re not to fool women into having a kid with them and once they do they change into dead beats, so it’s not the women’s fault. She couldn’t have possibly predicted the future and he seemed genuine before.
[–]JpopAnimeGirl_420FDS Newbie3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women and girls don't get a choice to decide who to sleep with because men lie and pretend to be something they're not untill they get what they want out of us. Then once they do NOW they want you to know they really wasn't shit from the jump. After all the months, all the lies, and all the pretending to be a good guy, it all a ploy just to get you emotionally invested enough to wanna sleep with them and then after you've slept with them now they wanna switch up and show you who they REALLY were from jump street. This is also how men gaslight us, they pretend they like you, respect you, and care about you just long enough to have sex with you and then show you who they really are after. They went from being a good guy( which was a lie from the start) to going back to being the asshole (who he really is ) and women see that dramatic change and think it's because of them. No sweetheart, they just finally obtained what they wanted from you so now they don't have to pretend to be good to impress you anymore. They can go back to being who they actually are now because they already hit it, so if you stay or leave it doesn't matter. The fact that men will say they do this to women because "If I was honest about what I wanted from you you wouldn't give me the time of day" but won't admit that they do this when confronted about it by women is why we should just stop dealing with them.
