I've been at a party recently and a discussion stuck with me. "If she's not with you while you're making your fortune, she's a gold digger."

First of all, what if she didn't know you before ? Second, maybe you didn't have the occasion to meet her because she goes to places unaccessible to low earning people. If you think your gf is with you for your money, why date someone at all after you "make your fortune"?

I didn't ask any of these questions, what I asked was "well usually men divorce their wives when they get rich and look for a "prettier" one. So technically when you become rich you want a "gold digger". How is that women's fault if you go explicitly for women that value money over anything else?"

Yeah that's not the same. Bla bla bla.

Why is "gold digging" a women specific term? Why men that ditch their families for younger women are not called "child diggers "? Why is it always women's fault and especially women they go after ? I just ughhrrr so mad at everyone.

P.S. don't know if it's the right flair tho. But I feel it fits.

Edit : someone DMed me asking how much a man should make for me to be interested in him... missing out the whole point of this post. But oh well, didn't expect more from DMs.
