There's a law that's being voted for in the US that would allow men to prevent their partners from having an abortion.

While I think men should be able to have a say in having/not having to be a parent, the law is completely backwards.

I believe men should be able to give up their parental rights as easily as women can receive abortion. The choice of being a parent during pregnancy should be given equally to both women and men.

In a lot of discussions i've seen online, some comments are:

" No. If you don't want to be a father, be responsible. It's not a matter of fair or unfair, it's just biology."
" The fact that any man wants to terminate his parental rights means he is not a man."
" Of course men shouldn't be able to terminate their parental rights unless both parents agree to have the child adopted. "
" Men have EVERY say in whether or not they become parents. don't have unprotected sex. Don't have sex. "

Some also support it, i'd say positions are about 50/50 with maybe a little bit more against it.

Thoughts?
