I was 17 when this happened to me. I was on a plane from Detroit to Shanghai and I was sitting in a seat next to two young girls. A flight attendant came up to me and told me I had to change seats. I asked why, and she told me that men are not allowed to sit next to unaccompanied minors, just like in the video. We went back and forth, me not wanting to move from the seat I had settled into, her trying to enforce company policy. Eventually I realized the ridiculousness of it all and just told her that I was gay, and so there was no cause of concern. That didn't matter, I was still force to move. Most demeaning moment of my life.

There's no need to label or punish the majority for the bad choices of a few.

I think this is a cultural thing because all of my Asian and Hispanic friends had parents like this, but we grew up not being able to spend the night at other people's houses. Well, when I (and having spoken to my friends, they have similar experiences) asked why I wasn't allowed to, I was asked "Do they have a father? Do they have older brothers? A step father?" The fact is, regarding children, you cannot trust ANYONE around them. And you never know what goes on in someone else's household, that the children may be brainwashed/groomed into believing is socially acceptable/normal.

Honestly, when I have children I probably won't let them spend the night at other people's houses because you just never know.

I don't think it's fair to give such a disgusting and dirty label to all men. And just to put it out there, statistically yes, white males make up a majority of sexual assault predators, but female predators are growing. And we see more cases being publicized (well I read the DailyMail, I see it there).

So I get that feminists don't care about men. Maybe some even get a little excited about the notion of more men being locked up.

But have they considered that if men are effectively banned from anything relating to childcare that will necessarily force women in to those roles (since someone has to do it) thus maintaining the patriarchal status quo they claim to be fighting?

If men can't be teachers or stay at home parents or child care providers or any of the rest that means women will be relegated to those roles. Freeing up men for careers in science and politics.

This pedo-hysteria nonsense is great for establishing the notion of women as primarily suited to child-rearing tasks.

If you find yourself in the place of this male, simply point out that the CDC (which tracks violence in the home) has concluded that approximately 70 to 75% of all children who are abused are abused by FEMALE care-givers. And then ask the airline representative why they airline insists on endangering the children by placing them next to a potential child abuser.

Watch their heads spin on that point.

I live in California and every ones in a while I go to elementary schools to get pictures of cute kids and watch them play during recess and after school. Some teachers have looked at me suspiciously, but no one has ever said anything to me or called the cops. And I do it for hours. Maybe people are less discriminating here in California.
