I never see MRAs discuss the idea of implementing a ceiling on child support payments.

There is an adequate amount of money that is enough to raise a child regardless of their parents' financial situation. You can say 400$/month is enough to provide for all of a child's needs. Let's double that and call it a ceiling on any child support orders.

Does having a rich non-custodial parent mean that a child is entitled to more money than a child from a poor family. They can both survive off of 400$/month, and doubling that is a decent bonus for a wealthy non-custodial parent.

The rich non-custodial parent will still spend more than the 800$/month on his child but will feel better about it instead of being court-mandated. This also strengthens his bond with his/her child too.

This will also mean less money paid to lawyers/judges. They won't need to go to court because they'll be happy paying the ceiling, and leaves more money with the family. The current system dis-incentives wealthy couples from having children, and by extension dis-incentives people from working hard to become wealthy.

A wealthy person should have the piece of mind of knowing that a child will only ever cost him 800$/month, an amount that will provide all the child's needs and then some. An amount that wont cripple him financially and he'll be happy to pay.

I propose this for unmarried couples, as divorced couples will have the whole issue of maintaining the custodial parent's way of life.
