I was also molested so I have an understanding of the thought process there. (Full story in my posts from very early on). Honestly that just makes you a stubborn and arrogant asshole. Your parents did something thats socially/culturally acceptable and improves hygiene and safety. This man on the other hand violated you in every sense of the word. Yeah I don't know Andy but I would like to hear some of the more intricate details before he can be used as a credible example for any of this debate. If it is true then no. He didn't deserve that. However medical complications happen. Its just a fact of life.

Just throwing a serial killers name into conversation around a topic and saying he would be an advocate of it is silly. Its not relevant and to be completely honest a stupid thing to say. Why Dahmer would have anything to do with medical procedures that saves lives is beyond me.

I'm on my phone right now but ill post some recent studies showing that circumcision does in fact lower std and sti contraction rates.

Even if true, this is not a justification for infant circumcision because, for starters, children are not sexually active. Even taking these claims at face value, child circumcision still cannot endure a rational cost-benefit analysis, for reasons I'd be more than willing to elaborate on.

But of course, you shouldn't be taking these claims at face value in the first place because they're very misleading, as is the case for the HIV trials in sub-Saharan Africa being used to justify genital mutilation in the developed world.

That seems irrelevant (despite smegma being practically impossible with a cut penis)

Yet you still felt compelled to mention the fact. Did you know that circumcised women don't retain smegma either? That little fact is about as relevant as yours above.

First, there is experience, having spent 40 years living as a female in western society, interacting with both males and females. The majority of violence I've faced and seen other women face has been at the hands of other women.
However, this is generally an unsatisfactory provision of evidence for feminists, who look for evidence of male perpetration as a means to contradict cited experiences of women.

Because social interest is greater in understanding victimization of females than by females, it takes serious digging to locate information on the topic of violence committed by females. Even then, one must dig through biased reporting to find it. Female on female violence - particularly violence of a sexual nature (link NSFW) - is one of society's hidden issues. Where society has placed massive focus on male violence, with efforts in law and policy which offer women such a level of power that violence need not even be committed before those protections can be accessed, little has been done to address the issue of female victimization of other women.

In fact, when we are victimized by other women, the first problem we face afterward is disbelief. This gives female offenders much greater ability to commit their crimes with impunity, as well as to remain free to repeat their crimes. When women are caught and convicted, they receive greater lenience from the penal system, leaving them again more free to repeat (and less deterred from doing so) than men.

In fact, female violence is so often disbelieved or dismissed that in some instances, it isn't even taken seriously. On a side note, this makes escaping from an abusive relationship more difficult for men, as they're often treated as the aggressor even when that is not the case; any effort made by an abused man to defend himself against his assailant is interpreted as abuse, where women are taught that we may defend ourselves, even when attacks are not physical. The difference in response to violence, depending on gender, is often dramatic, as can be seen in this video, where nobody bats an eye when the woman slaps, but the man is physically attacked by a large group of other men for responding in kind. Another example can be seen in the assumptions people make regarding female violence.

So the gist - not a TL;DR because the links are important, but a summary: We are in greater danger from our own sex because 1) social taboos against violence are reduced when the perpetrator is a woman, 2) such violence is often hidden or ignored, 3) when it isn't hidden or ignored, it's less penalized, so fewer deterrents are in place, and 4) failure to take female violence seriously contributes to an environment wherein women are more comfortable committing violent acts than men are.

a) women can be forward towards men(rare, unfortunately, and that is another issue of social misandry altogether but it still does happen).

b) women can be forward towards other women too. And, if women are okay with being approached sexually by other women but not okay with it when it is done by other men, then they are either sexist or heterophobic.

c) Even if it was simply accepted that all men are unilaterally predisposed to being more forward towards women, how is still acceptable to demonize or segregate men for that predisposition?

d) How is "guys are more likely to be forward with sexual advances" even enough to justify women-only saunas? It's like saying "people A like to talk to people B more; therefor people B needs their own sauna". That doesn't really make sense. Unless group A is actually a threat to group B, there is no grounds for segregation.

lol, what? What position of power? The very fact that would could get the option of having both a men-free and gender neutral sauna clearly indicate that women are in the position of power here. The entire premise of women's only sauna's are to exclude men. It's not like the majority of men are saying "ew, gross, women. we don't want to share any spaces with them so put them in their own room". It's the complete opposite. I don't know what kind of weird coolaid you're drinking but men are not in a position of power here. This would literally be like white people saying "we want our own black-free sauna, on top of the general public one". The only way you could think that men are in a position of power here is if you have a very low opinion of women in general, that all men are in a position of power over women(which is laughable, especially when you consider that women generally do have an advantage over men in a sexual context; otherwise men wouldn't be throwing money away left and right trying to get women's attention) or if you were talking about physical strength, therefor assuming that men would just be a threat to women because of their physics or that women couldn't be a threat to me because of theirs; all of which are completely wrong and offensive.

The relation with Rosa Parks is segregation, but so is this issue. Women have the option to be secluded from the opposite sex, but men don't. Would you find it easier to sympathize if it was a whites only and a mixed race bathroom? Then again, it's only a seat on the bus. It shouldn't have mattered were she sat, right?

But you are correct. There were laws back in the day the prevented the mixing of races, whereas today that is a no no. It's also a no no to not be equal to all people of all races, genders, orientations, religions, etc. And yes I might be a bit emotional at time, but I still have my feet on the ground. It might not look right too, but sometimes you have to shift the piece of paper or cross your eyes to see the scooner in the picture.

no i want the rules to be equal for all. if men can't have "male only spaces" then "females only spaces" aren't okay either. i could honestly care less if this was resolved by alowing male onl spaces or disalowing female only spaces. my problem is that this inequallity is alowed. and that's against my principles.

and here we come to the crux of why you are a moron. you can't see MY principles simply because you don't agree with them.

You want the state to step in and protect your feelings.

actually i want feminists to reap what they sow. this has nothing to do with my feelings this has something to do with equallity. this is about wanting the same rules to be in place for everyone. but then you seem to have a problem with equallity so it doesn't suprise me you don't care about it.
