I started my activism through the lens of an egalitarian feminist. I had many long talks with Feminists in college, who were mostly very agreeable. I was assured, in no uncertain terms, that Feminists were concerned about men's issues, and were aware that Feminism has made life more difficult for many men.

I was assured reform. I assumed reforms were happening, and I continued to talk to people, donate money, and volunteer for various causes.

Feminism never reformed. It's gotten worse.

When I finally pulled my head out of my rear, and realized this, I abandoned Feminism in about two weeks and came upon the men's rights movement.

I don't consider myself an MRA. I consider myself a person concerned about defending the rights and liberties of all people, with a special interest in men (because of the serious lack of attention paid to men.)

I have talked to people, donated A LOT of money to various causes, written gazillions of blogs, read thousands of pages of materials, and dedicated several hours a week to activism online and off.

For my efforts, I've lost lifelong friends, I've been called every nasty word you can think of, I've been threatened with violence, and I have become gradually more and more hopeless about society's future.

It is now plainly obvious to me that men like their self-imposed servitude to women. And women like the pedestal they are standing on.

Though I feel relatively optimistic more men and women are becoming aware of these issues, I am extremely pessimistic we are ever going to see major change. And here's why.

Most women will ALWAYS fight for Team Woman, right or wrong. And most men in our society will also fight for Team Woman, right or wrong.

A message to Feminism and "female-first" Conservatism: Fuck you assholes. You're ruining lives of men AND women, and destroying our society with your lizard-brain thinking, selfishness, and totalitarianism.

A message to women: I do not blame you for desiring comfort, security, and a pleasant life. I just wish you would open your eyes and see the people who are sacrificing (voluntarily or not) to give women what they want. I also wish you would realize that Feminism & traditional notions of chivalry are not your friend. They are instilling a deep selfishness and myopia in you, making you dependent on others, and holding you back from true independence.

A message to men: Society is collapsing in slow motion. And men and women will HAPPILY burn men alive in the coal furnaces of this Titanic, so long as they think it will make women comfortable. The ONLY way men have hope is if we remove our support from systems that no longer support us. WE HAVE TO PROTECT OURSELVES. And that's precisely what I'm going to focus on now, instead of sacrificing my time and resources for people who don't appreciate it.
