The entire academic field of feminism is designed to dishonestly represent the privilege that men and women have. You need to understand that for these people, it's not a matter of just wanting to be right; they have actual financial incentives to make as many people believe in their cause as possible (women being prioritized for jobs, more well-paying do-nothing jobs centered around diversity, more money going into their university departments where they hold all the positions, more social benefits for women, etc).

Of course they know about the men in manual labor. They'll sit in ivory towers telling you that those men benefit from the patriarchy every bit as much as Jeff Bezos.

Of course they know about the men discriminated against in family courts and the justice system. They'll look down and say that the patriarchy hurt them too.

It all comes back to the fact that "all men privileged all women underprivileged" is a recruitment strategy and a way of improving their own social status.

Of course the avg man goes out to work thinking about how he can oppress his wife/gf not how he can support and provide for them (sarcasm). Women have this so backwards it amazes me. The top 1% of men have power, most of us just struggle to get by and have ZERO privilege, in fact quite the opposite, we have all the expectation on us with no rewards.

Honestly most men don’t have the power - a small minority do. And those men are colleagues with the elite women too. And women marry those elite men and benefit from their wealth.

The thing is most people - man or woman - isn’t in the top 1% or even 5%. They’re just not. But the feminists claims of men holding women back just are not true. Women are doing better academically and career wise than men now. In fact there is a video by Brookings Institute showing the disparity of women vs men in college is greater now in favor of women than it ever was when it was reversed. But no one walkers about that and feminists don’t care. There is a problem that needs to be addressed and no one is taking up the torch to light the way to solve it.

Men’s suicide rates, they’re more than likely the victims of violent crime, no help for men (where is a men’s shelter for homeless?), they go to wars and come back and left scarred and alone, they willingly risk their lives in dangerous jobs and constitute 95% of workplace deaths. See women taking to the streets to get better working conditions for their sons, fathers, husbands and male friends? No? Because they don’t care. As a guy you’re expendable as long as the Starbucks lattes and lululemon can still be distributed and bought your struggles as a guy mean nothing.

What’s the line from Captain Spears in Band of Brothers? “You’re scared because you actually think you’re going to live through this…but the sooner you realize we’re already dead the better you’ll be and you’ll be a better soldier”. Same thing. As soon as you realize that you’re not going to get any sympathy or empathy from feminists and society the better off you’ll be. You’ll be a better man because you realize there is no one coming for you. There is no one to help you. You have to do it yourself and that’s the way it is. Find support among your brothers, you won’t find it anywhere else.

I'm reading this as a 58 yr old whose job leaves him aching every night. I get home before my wife so I usually make dinner. I frequently take a hot bath and then fall asleep by 8 because I'm just wiped out. Thank goodness I'm oppressing all those women or it just wouldn't be worth it.

I've been wondering this for a while. Feminist rhetoric about men seems to be built on pointing at the top 0.1% of men and saying "look, this is Men™️! Look how privileged Men™️ are!".

It's absurd.

At my place of work, the men arrive at 7-7:30 am and do the manual labour jobs. Most are older men with many chronic injuries and conditions from a life time of doing this work. Then at 9-9:30am the women arrive and go sit in their cozy warm in the winter and cold in the summer offices where they sit on a comfy chair and make way more than the men who make all of it possible make...

And I'm just looking around, searching for my privilege in this situation. It doesn't make any sense.

Until men refuse to work (the new slavery) or no pay tax ( the chains of the salvery) why do you think you will ever get anything expect to be treated as a slave. As the state argues violence you only have 2 option, withdraw labour and stop mass immigration which is other men primarily who will be the new suckers.

As a successful engineer I can say I do well for myself, but that's where it ends. I'm lonely and don't have much time to seek out a potential partner and generally speaking when I do, it's been difficult and it feels like I've never met some fabricated standard. The standards that a man has to reach these days are very high and in some ways my career prohibits me from being able to address these standards of being in super good shape, lean, etc. In many ways it feels like women want a guy who spends more time in the gym and mirror than at the office.

Because deep down they understand the struggles the average man faces yet everyone is lost in feminist liberal propaganda so the line is very blurred.

It is true that feminism relies solely on the false premise of the apex fallacy, and it is also true that feminism's dishonesty and propaganda have further exacerbated that problem where the bottom 95% of men are completely invisible to our society. However, I would argue that this issue of "male invisibility/disposability" has existed for far longer than feminism has, and that its roots run far deeper in our psyches than many might think. So the idea that people "understand the struggles the average man faces" is I think where we run into our true adversary. Yes, people can be reasoned into seeing the overall trends and issues that men – as a group – face, and that men have struggled under for centuries. However, they don't or can't function with that mindset at scale, perhaps because we as a society need to generate excess resources, and because we demand sacrifices from large percentages of the population, just in order to balance that ledger called "survival as a species". So unless every individual can carry their own weight by becoming completely self-reliant – and by this I mean in every conceivable way, from feeding themselves, to being their own emotional support, to even being able to procreate and raise offspring on their own without the inefficient and dangerous need to gestate offspring within their bodies – then we will always get some stratification socially that pushes significant populations into taking on more burdens and becoming the protector of others who are more vulnerable than them.

The working man is often taken for granted. Sometimes I wonder how it would put things in perspective if the world would crumble because one day the working man decided to stop working for an ungrateful society, and chose to only serve himself.

We know who will be the first ones to notice the decline. We notice how men who not wish to harm, but only to walk away are somehow under severe scrutiny, as if their sole purpose is to serve. An individual not wanting to serve is somehow seen as hostile.

I think you greatly misunderstand feminist theory if power. No one thinks you in your 9-5 job one paycheck away from bankruptcy has power over women.

Feminists believe that as far as societal power goes, it unjustly favors men. This could mean men have 60% of the power because more men have high ranking jobs and more money. It does not mean that every man has power over women. No one believes that.

I’m sure this will come off as defending feminism but there is enough parts of feminism to criticize as to that making up philosophies is unnecessary. So let’s criticize feminism accurately.
