I've noticed, in a lot of the threads on n-count, that people are trying to use n-count to gauge whether or not a woman is ''crazy''.

Imo, this is very strange. As a ''crazy'' person, my craziness is almost certainly going to be visible before my sluttiness. I can't really cover up my mood swings, insomnia or generally high energy levels. Dude's going to notice if I never sleep.

Even if I were to meet a guy when I'm in a ''normal'' mood, he's going to notice that I'm taking mood-stabilizers at some point, or someone in my social circle is going to refer to my mental illness.

My n-count? Could take a long time to work that one out.

Whenever I've dated ''crazy'' men I've almost always known, instantly. It seems to me that people a) tend to disclose that they're crazy, if it's a big deal, because well, it's a big deal and b) low-key crazy people are kind of obviously relationally strange.

So, I'm curious -- if you're doing this, why are you doing it? Do you think there's a reason why you're unable to pick up on people's ''crazy''?

Also, I've noticed a trend of people who seem to exhibit signs of depression etc on PPD saying that they would never date someone who was ''mentally ill''. This strikes me as a little bit strange, so if you're one of those people, please explain. Why are other depressed people off limits?
