The way people talk about "nice guys", it seems like it's painted as being an exclusively male behavior that no (or almost no) women are horrible enough to engage in. However, I'm sure there are at least a decent number of needy women who also participate in this behavior, right?

I feel like we wouldn't hear about "nice girls" because a man is unlikely to find their behavior highly uncomfortable or threatening, due to the power differentials involved. Maybe just annoying at the worst. A man might find a nice girl irritating, but they're not going to fear rape or anything really bad happening to them.

Have you ever encountered or been a "nice girl"? That is, have you known or been a girl that felt like they could win someone's heart by being a sycophant and got frustrated or angry when the love went unrequited?

Do you think it's possible nice girls could even be as common as nice guys?
