We might have the pretence of equality but we are far from a gender neutral society. When it comes to the west there is now a debate as to whether or not we are living in a patriarchy or a matriarchy but nobody believes we are close to true egalitarianism. There are still just too many cultural and even legal hypocrisies in terms of how both genders are treated. If there wasn’t a sub like this wouldn’t exist.

My question though isn’t about what is… but what should be… and what people actually want beyond virtue signalling.

Do you believe things should actually be completely balanced and equal across the board-meaning all privileges men have over woman are balanced out and vice versa? I.E everybody gets the best…and crucially also the worse of both worlds?

Or do you think certain hypocrisies and differences between men and women are unavoidable due to biological differences and as such should be accepted and even embraced rather than demonised.

If so what still needs to change and what should always remain the same?

For example should we be striving to live in a society where there is just as much expectation for a women to fight for the protection of her fellow citizens in war as there is for men?

Should it be just as socially acceptable( and for it to occur in equal numbers) for a man to be a stay at home husband than it is for woman.

And so on….
