Naw. The none of the data supports this claim.

We've all seen the OKCupid data (if you haven't already, just search for "OKCupid data") where women find 80 percent of men below average in attractiveness. The women's version of the graph was heavily lopsided to one side. Unsupportable on its own.

But the men's version of the same graph shows a bellcurve with a nice even distribution. A nice and almost perfect curve. When this happens in data analysis, you know that everything is right with the world. This proves two things:

Men typically go after women who are around their own same attractiveness.
Men have a more realistic approach to attractiveness.

The one time I was brave enough to follow a link over to Female Dating Strategy, I mentioned this. Almost everyone was completely ignorant of it - either through sheer ignorance, or not willing to look at it.

Then there is also this graph, also from the OKCupid data. It shows men's activity in messaging women, versus that woman's attractiveness. Here is the graph (it's from the first link I could find):

Most women's standards seem to be pretty basic stuff like be honest, be reliable, don't be an asshole or a waster. As a side-note, I can somewhat understand what it means to have options. I work in a very in-demand field and if I really wanted to I could find a job with similar benefits in about 1 month if I wanted to. I think that what men are annoyed by is average women choosing the hottest men that they can, either having sex with these men and not wanting relationships from these men or hoping for relationships from these men and not having them, and then expecting relationships from average men when they are done having fun or “Chad chasing” but making these average men wait for sex and not giving them their “sexual best” that they gave to the more attractive men.

The equivalent might be if a man in his 30s spent a lot of money and romantic effort on a much younger woman in the past, but puts much less effort into a marriage with his age-appropriate wife.

Women’s greater power in the sexual marketplace and how it can disadvantage men is likely a big reason why female sexuality has traditionally been policed. But, if framed in the sense of inequality of power, it would make sense for one gender to try to take away the relative “power” of the other gender when it disadvantages them, even if it’s not right to do so.

I think most of the anger from me comes from the denial I saw women in my own life deny that this problem even existed . To be angry at women for this is insane I think, first of al you have to assume people have an extreme free will to think they can control there sexual desire and desire when it comes to dating
