There is no such thing as genuine attraction.

Genuine means “actual, real, or true : not false or fake”

But what makes your attraction to someone “real” or “fake”?

Anybody, male or female that is attracted to you is attracted for a reason, there is nothing “real” or “fake” about that. As i’ve said in a previous post, attraction is a transaction. Love is a transaction. If a woman has convinced herself that she needs a tall man, she is doing so because she wants a tall man to give her his presence. For her supposed safety benefits etc. She is not “genuinely” attracted, she is using you. The moment you lose your legs, you aren’t tall anymore.

On the flip side, there is nothing fake about her using you, which is why the idea of being “genuinely attracted” to someone is a fallacy. Anytime we are attracted to someone it is by, relationship, skill, resource, trait or a physical feature; it is a transaction.

Any living species, especially humans are opportunistic creatures and overall selfish.

How would we measure the scale of how real or fake someone’s attraction or love is to you? If they love you unconditionally and they’d give their life away for you, does that make their attraction to you “real”? No, it doesn’t, it just means they would trade their life for whatever they perceive you have or are giving them.

Are there better reasons to be attracted to someone, yes. For example again, a guy may be tall but how does a woman know she’s not missing out on a way better man, thats short, in her pursuit of a tall guy for all her mundane reasons. Vice versa for the men, why do I hear so many men say they don’t want a girl taller than them? Height “preference” is nothing but ego and selfishness, with many ignorant preconceived notions. Height and most other physical features are low level attractions.
