All of my friends who are married or who are in LTRs likely leading to marriage seem happy but they give a lot without getting a lot in return. True to the “happy wife happy life” cliché. It’s working for them for now, but they’re all under 30. We’ll see where things go once they’re a couple decades deep I suppose. I’m not even opposed to marriage or LTRs, I just want to make sure that when I do it I’m not setting myself up to watch my life and relationship slowly degrade until there’s little left and then lose more than half of my assets.

A couple ways. They could have a lot of money or the girl very much could have numerous insecurities and not know her own "value."

Also, TRP is about attitude as well. I know a lot of tall, buff, traditional Chad types that deep down are absolute pussies but also know some scrawny looking dudes that have the mindset of a fucking apex predator. Looks 100% matter, but your true personality will surface at some point in any relationship. While yes these women could leave the scrawny dude, they most likely feel safe with the guy.

By lasting I mean no cheating, no "cuckolding", both partners actually love each other, and they are happy with their lives and relationship.

Whenever that happens I am genuinely happy for them. 🙂

That said, I see a lot more relationships were both partners are complacent and comfortable but not really happy and not really in love.

I know several guys like this. I work with a few. At first I don't think much one way or the other. They introduce me to their wives at the company Christmas party, we exchange pleasantries, she seems friendly enough to me, we say it was nice to meet each other and off they go.

Some have family pics at their desk or as their computer wallpaper. From all outward appearances they're all in happy marriages. It raises no flags for me at first.

At first.

Eventually they begin to open up. Sometimes in the work truck on the way to the job site, sometimes at lunch, sometimes at happy hour after work. And the story is almost always the same. Nagging, dead bedrooms and regret.

Lord knows I'm the last person to pry into a co worker's personal life. They volunteer the information and seem all to eager to share with anyone who will listen. These motherfuckers are miserable.

So, what do I think after the mask drops and they confide the true reality of married life? I mostly feel pity for them.

By the numbers; things like this statistically are rare. Women still love more masculine men, and men still love more feminine women overall.

That does not mean other types cannot exist.

I think we have to define what "date successfully" means... if your girlfriend never expresses interest in you, never initiates sex, acts cold in bed but still agrees to be called your gf, is that a successful relationship?

Men end up being RP because we are unsatisfied by our relationships with women or because we never had one in the first place... either way the result is its mostly unsatisfied men and therefore men who've had unsucessful relationships who end up in RP

If you ask a RP man how did an unnatractive man get that woman, then the answer will be something like Beta Bux, Cucked etc either way she settled for him

In my opinion, the biggest contributing factor to getting a woman is a social circle, if its big enough eventually a woman will find the man attractive.. Chronically single men either don't have one, are insanely ugly or have insanely high standards

Just because she's dating him doesn't mean she found him to be "I want him inside me now" like women do with Chad, I personally wouldn't wanna date a woman who settled for me

I have not really seen a substantial amount of such men in relationships, so this sounds purely hypothetical to me. It's easy to present such an ideal relationship for unideal men with no evidence to prove that those even exist. I myself belief that at best non-ideal men can achieve a cold, practical relationship where the woman at best settles for him in the absence of better options.

I’d think 9/10 times there’s more to the story.

It is not that it never happens that a man gets a girl “out of his league”. I’d even go as far as to say most men have done it once or twice.

The issue is the cost to the man.

I'm not redpill, but in my personal life I've seen unnattractive men in relationships it's with similarly unnattractive women. And just as the the weight of being unnattractive in life, they don't seem completely happy. They seem content with each other, just beaten down by life. It's not either of their faults, it's just how society is.

I don't ever see an unnattractive man & attractive woman relationship. I see a lot more unnattractive woman & attractive male relationships, by a longshot. And when I say unnattractive vs. attractive, they are within like 2 points. 6's dating 8's. Anything outside of this is probably doomed to fail. I see way more female 6's with male 8's than the other way around.

Edit: OK I just remembered a friend of a friend who is like a male 5 and the female is an 8. All I can think of is "good for him". I don't think it will last long term but they've been together for a few years, so what do I know.

Not living up to their potential. You see "TRP" is not an entity its a collection of observations. All of those men are not living up to their potential and some have decent success and others are happy with how they are living their life. That being said "TRP" only has a use if those guys actively want to improve. There can be multiple reasons for it. Women being whats most likely the cause. Might be a lack of physical fitness or professional success.

It is only then if they choose to look into "TRP" that it has something to offer. If anything the downtalking has the function to make them realize that theyre missing out and could do better but it isnt really like men saying "oh those guys are simps and incels" to put them down. Its really just to make em see what else exists since the mainstream narrative today is so hellbent on putting the blinders on to men so they can make stuff happen and pay taxes.
