Related to the post regarding women being cautious or paranoid about sexual assault, in a world where you're pretty much on your own in terms of personal safety in society. The followers of TRP have certainly made it very clear we're on our own, yet why is caution so controversial when we practice it? If it's on us, women as a whole, to prevent being attacked or raped or abused, when then is it controversial for us to want to protect ourselves and not open ourselves up for potential harm or abuse? It can't be expected of us to foolishly trust people on a whim, only to be shamed are chastised if harm coms to us or worse. Why then are we told to lighten up and chill out when we want to prevent this? Is it simply something I am misreading on this sub-Reddit, misreading the clashing ideologies here?
