I just read (for work) a long book on how Chinese men in rural areas are facing the same issues; it’s probably more linked to economics than culture.

Say you have everything you want, and you’re not that desperate for sex and if you were you can have it anytime you want.. why would get into a relationship to cook and clean, loose your independence and good mood, and push out babies out of your tight cute hole, babies that you didn’t even want that you will be taking care of them? Sexlessness is only a small part of the problem. The west is primarily fucked up, like a suger coated topping covering cake of shit, ear mongering, exploitation and hyper capitalism. The decline is simply proof that the wider societal narrative isn't working more. No surprise that the dynamic seems to be replicated in Japan, another society that's fiercely patriarchal and unwilling to really deal with its past.

I could go off for days but, fundamentally, modern media has pushed the idea of the good protagonist battling against evil, taking out the antagonists and getting the girl. Problem is, at the same time, we are also being told that mens behaviours are predatory, violent, sexist and dangerous. Nothing about either one of these limes of thought is particularly wrong, but neither of them make sense in relation to each other. To successfully walk the line of modern capitalistic endeavour is an incredibly difficult tightrope. Most men simply don't have the cunning or ruthlessness to do it. The ones who do never leaved unscathed. I was very sexually successful in my twenties and learned to replicate that and apply it to my career in my now early thirties...but it's taken its toll. Learning how to manipulate others, guard your intentions, detach yourself from those who aren't useful does damage to one's psyche and ability to successfully build relationships and bonds with other people. Its this very behavioural requirement which serves as some of the reason behind why so many political operators in the anglicised world are reprehensible people who are often responsible for worst crimes. Right now, Ghislaine Maxwell is being tried for historic sex crimes and trafficking of minors and it seems like at least 2 of the last 3 presidents have been implicated days into the trial.

I mention this to say, if you're a somewhat "normal" guy, one would be tempted to just...give up. In a world with unfettered access to "escapes" like video games, netflix, hell even this very site, why even try competing?

From a woman's perspective, it doesn't make any sense either, shrinking their dating pool so much.

They only go for the top 5 percent of men because those are the only men they're truly attracted to. The fact that that limits their dating pool isn't going to make the average man more desirable to them.

It's not like they're using logic to decide who to be attracted to; that's not how attraction works.

I don't think men of other races are facing this issue. Elsewhere in the world and in history, men didn't face this issue.

Many of those countries are still patriarchal, thus women have less of a choice. Contrary to what feminism would have people believe, the West isn't patriarchal and hasn't been for ages.

Women are very much free in today's day and age, more so than men in some ways, and are therefore able to be as picky as they want when it comes to who to date or have sex with — which, as recent decades have come to show, is very picky. Thus, we have the so-called "epidemic" of sexless men.

men are brought up to not be masculine. thats the main issue with most men apart from hook up cultural and hypergamy. if you cant be dominant and assertive, women are not going to like you and thats the default for most men because of the masculinity hate in in media and society.

Not entirely. One major reasons I would say is many men today are economically unattractive. The sad reality is that women dont find beta males attractive unless he brings money (or security if that sounds better to you) to the table. Sad reality is that this economy just isn't what it used to be and men today don't earn as much as men in the past did so it's harder today for men to even be a beta bucks anymore.

Another reason I see is that many women today are simply delusional as to what their SMV really is. They think they're better than they really are and think they can do better than they really can. So they pass up on the guys that are actually for them and just end up getting passed around by the top men.

Yet another reason is that men today are becoming red pill aware. So I see many men today refusing to become step fathers or go through all the hoops that females expect them to. Which also ends up in less sex. If those men were willing to play the game, most of them would have eventually gotten sex down the road.

So to answer your question, I guess being economically unattractive can be considered as having something wrong with them. Especially by women that are delusional and don't want to hear excuses.

To put it simply with no nuance and explanations.

Modern society is artificially pushing and encouraging women in almost all life areas from education to work force and also letting girls and women get away with almost every sort of behaviour. At the same time most boys are held back in education because all aspects are aligned to support girls or girl like strengths and consecutive punishment for boy like behaviour, following preferencial hiring and recommodations making it easier for girls to enter the work force earlier.

All these facts combined are leading to spoiled women with inflated egos and overly feminine men who got many important masculine aspects removed from them, with not enough confidence due to worse grades and a twisted inner mental world due to bein constantly demonized.

We have a culture that basically declared meeting people organically a faux pas and herded everyone into dating apps and meat markets. Meaning unless you would thrive in very specific environments you got left to twist in the wind.

The thing is the whole thing is commodified. You want a better app experience? Pay. You want to hit those clubs? Pay and pay again for drinks. You want to cut the bullshit? Well sure but onlyfans costs money and so do a lot of other things.

Doing things organically and naturally has been dying a swift death compared to a regimented way thats implicitly always chaperoned by a moderator or bouncer who works off the money you pay as a cost of entry to get overseen and the rest of it goes into the pockets of some suit who wouldn't be caught dead slumming it with the paypigs to save his life.

There are 3 prerequisites to being arousing to women and we can easily break it down.

The first one is to actually like and respect yourself. To not be dependent on outside sources of validation (the way women are). If you like yourself and you don't think there is anything wrong with you or inadequate about you, you are already a winner. But all you need to do is read comments on here and virtually every men feels less than because they believe they need to be Bradley Cooper to get even an average looking woman interested.

So what percentage of all men do you think like and respect themselves truly? 20% is probably generous but let's use that for argument sake.

The second attribute is to embrace your role as a man with joy. Don't expect women to o make any decisions. Take responsibility to make all decisions and to lead. That's very comforting for people with feminine energy because it means they can feel safe and protected with you. How many men do you think have this attribute? Maybe half of the 20% above, so we are at 10% of males now.

The last one is a man who genuinely loves women and appreciates them for who they are, who doesn't hold any vitriol and bitterness because he was screwed over by women in the past. How many men have all three? Probably less than 5% of the genpop.

So that's what poor women are left with.

Modern society has fucked up the whole dating/marriage equation. People who play their cards right have loads of sex with loads of people before marriage while they're still dating. Then the same people or other people might have no sex after marriage and be stuck in a dead bedroom. It's fucked up. Sex is no longer seen as something intimate between two people in love.

It definitely bothers me.

What can I do, you just live with it. If it bugs you that bad, find a partner from a non-western country.

Why are American women only going for the top 20% or top 10% of men ?

Because the idea that women have such incredibly high standards is simply a mental defense mechanism that the bottom 5% of guys use to blame women instead of accepting that they are on the very bottom of the barrel.

Yes. There is absolutely something wrong with western men. Western men are becoming more unattractive, less ambitious, addicted to porn and video games.

Men these days would rather masturbate to women on instagram, than to speak to women in person. When you live your life in a porn fantasy-online world, there should be no doubt it will make you lose out on sex and relationships. Porn is damaging and does many thing which includes skewing up your perception in what an attractive woman looks like.

Men today are a lost cause. 50 years ago, men had no problem proving with their families and working hard. Whilst men just sit their with their porn corrupted minds, doing fuck all with their lives. It is quite pathetic. It is no surprise the marriage and birth rates are dropping. Womrn are becoming more disengaged with the "men" in today's society. We are better off alone.
