Most gen Z & young millennial men have no trouble getting long lasting relationships if they drop their standards to way below their SMV. It was different for older age groups.

Basically the women will lock in if they punch up, if they’re equal they will entertain but will not lock in ( because they think you’re a OK option, but that they can still punch up). If they’re superior they will not look your way. Men generally look for equal.

I know a guy who’s a male model and engaged at 22, but his girlfriend is very average & overweight. She’s obsessed with the guy, her IG is basically dedicated to him.

I’m not struggling to attract women at all,but I’m struggling to get women who are my equal in looks & income/lifestyle. If I wanted just any girlfriend, I could have one tomorrow amongst the girls who orbit me,but it’s all girls who are not that attractive & who don’t match my income level.

You don't see the dudes who are struggling. There are many men who are hermits and rarely go out into society. Look up the Hikikomori men in Japan.

Many of these pairs you've seen will have been formed pre social media / dating apps. For a real insight, you need to look at the younger generation.

Also getting a relationship or date is one thing, but how about keeping it? The current dating market is like a battlefield full of carnage. Unchecked female hypergamy and narcissism, psychopathic Chads who won't settle down etc are making it harder for everyone, not just men.

How can you tell whether someone is struggling just from looking at them? Unless they're willing to share with you something so private about themselves.

Personally, I am not a RP guy, or for that matter any pill or dermal patches or whatsoever. But I feel there are certain things wrong with this post in my view.

So basically the entire post is about your POV as a woman which is not inherently wrong as it is. But I don't think it's right for you to say men should or shouldn't do a particular thing because it's not in line with your POV.

I once thought it was easy for all women in dating market and it was my POV as a man. But my female friend made me realise it's as much hard for a below average looking girl (even if she has amazing personality) or even worse than a average looking guy. So our POV maynot always be right and it's easily tunneled by our biases.

If I were also to have innumerable options at my disposal, I'll also be picky. But that doesn't negate the difficult dating scenario faced by men or the shitty advices regarding improving dating life.

This could have a lot of reasong behind it, one of them being, as you said, they weren't much bothered by it. But the futility of taking efforts or other things that needs to be attained before talking to women for romantic purposes etc. could also be reasons for your observation.

So in short, although I do agree with you partially that certain things said online are just blown out of proportions such as extreme dating standards of women but as a man I don't think dating scenario is as easy for men as you think it is. I have said it in a different post how oblivious most women are to dating scenario of men- maybe because they don't care about dating situation of men they aren't intrested in. And with the men they are intrested in, they think other women are similarly intrested in him as she is!

Whilst I agree, TRP specifically caters to men that have issues. It’s something I often reiterate too. That TRP, The Manosphere, and PPD, are a minority. So we must keep things in perspective.

Most women want to date a man who’s better looking, has more money, and has more going on for them than they do. And unfortunately for many men, they can. Also, women tend to be much more flakey and quickly move to the next faster, due to the constant pool of men online and IRL. It’s not easy for women too and they clearly have their own struggles, just very different than the average man. I think most people, including myself at times, tend to overvalue themselves and shoot way out of their league for the looks / wealth / personality combo.

If the mentions of men who struggle bother you even online on this forum and you would like them to disappear from your eyes, how can you honestly believe that you don't close your eyes to them in real life, where it's much easier, because people don't usually confide in each other with inner struggling?

Men, if you're ugly you can improve your success/ wealth. If you're not successful, choose to be the kind/ responsible one.. If you dont have any of them, the least thing you can do is be confident. I walked out of a local mall not to long ago. Saw a young lady a little on the plump side mid level girl next door kinda of cute. Right next to her was her boyfriend and if she wasn't there and I was talking to him about his girlfriend I would have pictured someone just like herand the same would go for her if we were talking about him.

The point I'm making is the idea that all women go after the top 10% of men is RP bullshit. Many women are happy with a man they are simply attracted to and many don't think they stand a chance and don't necessarily want a man like most 10% guys to begin with.

I myself (a straight man) am not interested in the barbie doll stripper hot type woman. I am happy with my cute nerdy girl next door type not that I'm a top 10% man or that I could get that barbie doll type but even if I could I'm not interested in them. I fully believe there are female counterparts to me in terms of physical attraction. Women who like a more simplistic next door looking guy that better matches what they tend to look like. Society puts beauty as an absolute standard everyone has to achieve and some of us aren't interested.

And we don't know what circumstances surround the formation of these relationships. Is the man funny? Is he rich? Is he rising up the ranks in his career or better, is he already at the top? How about the lady in question? Is she comfortable with him because they've know each other since they were kids? Or maybe she likes him because they go to the same synagogue/church/library.

Just because we see conventionally meh men with women by their sides on the streets, we can't use that as evidence that this is a feat anyone can pull off. Take into account the silent evidence, which I assure you is a lot more plentiful.

Throughout my time at highschool, college etc Ive never witnessed men being desperate for relationships or sex.

Why then have Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson and the rest of the manosphere become mainstream? If attention from women (sexual attention, especially) was not in short supply, then men like these shouldn't be able to use it as a lure. If you're already full, would food work as bait?

Overall, I think the idea that the average man is struggling is primarily an online idea and I've never seen any evidence of men struggling in reality.

All men in relationships I see in my university are waaaay more attractive than me, they have muscles, beard, look masculine, and I feel inferior to all of them. I have only seen ONE exception among all the examples of this rule.

I think that the main problem is that everyone is busy with their life to even think of dating and this is reflected to how much society views expect men to get their shit right away therefore many of us men don’t think about dating if we’re are not stable some way.
