When Red Pill groups and general manosphere spaces talk about how hard it is for men like them to get matches/attention on dating apps, why do they never bring up the gender ratio of users on those apps?

Because its presumed by anyone who's actually gone outside. Any venue where people traditionally look for sex or relationships will almost always lean heavily male. This is why most clubs will make men pay a much steeper cover charge while women pay less or get in free. This is also why most sex clubs will keep out single men but not single women. Or why most bars and house parties are largely male unless someone specifically goes out of their way to bring women. Or hell even back to the apps every single ad I've ever seen for them has clearly been trying to convince them to join and men are an afterthought.

In terms of raw numbers all most women have to do is show up basically anywhere and they'll have options because women just don't show up 90% of the time. Reddit will try to lecture men and get around this by saying men should go after introverted women who don't get out much but short of home invasion thats not really a consistent or viable strategy.

Because it’s math and math is hard. All jokes aside, I totally agree with you. Women are obviously going for the top 20% of men on dating apps, because that 20% is about equal to how many women as a whole are on dating apps. Unless they want women dating many men at a time, most aren’t going to be successful on dating apps.

When the movie You Got Mail came out women were keen to online date, who the heck doesn't like increasingly romantic correspondence. That's how love forms.

Women get on the app, then match with top doggies, then get off the app, eventually meeting a boyfriend or concluding all men are pigs after sleeping with a few who “won’t commit”, switch from tinder to hinge, or “take time off the apps” and meet men irl as it’s just as easy as online for them.

Men, on the other hand, getting no to sparse matches, or being top dawg with a steady supply of women, remain on the app. So the profiles that are women are mostly leftovers, forgotten accounts, temporary accounts swiping for the top 20%, or ig & of ads.
