I was under the impression that 'incel' meant 'involuntary celibate'. If you are a voluntary incel and want to remain that way, where is the 'in'?

If you want to remain celibate because you have issues with women/men/whoever, go ahead. No one cares.

I think (may well be wrong) that incels generally want to stop being incels. Otherwise they would be volcels.

I think anyone who is suffering should have access to ways to alleviate that suffering. I would imagine BCT would work quite well with men who struggle with social interaction.

If someone is unhappy and dissatisfied with their life, that situation should be fixed. Period. How 'fixed' applies depends on the situation. The debatable reasons you give for not fixing someone's unpleasant existence shouldn't matter.

Besides, fixing an incel doesn't necessarily carry towards making them wildly successful at getting girls. It could also mean helping them to accept how things are, if that is the right path for them. So your assumptions themselves don't even cover the spectrum of potential fixes for the issue.

Because they spam the subreddit with complaints and requests for others to validate their victim mentality, and I will never validate their victim mentality and so they will just keep spamming incessantly.

Kidding aside, I'm not saying they "need" to be fixed, but I am saying that they need to acknowledge that being "involuntarily celibate" is a self deprecating and self defeating myth that they need to let go of even though it helps absolve them of a sense of personal responsibility for their lives and how it turns out.
