I'm surprised no ones mentioned the actual origins of this cultural practise. Literally all the arguments in favour of it are just retrospective and completely insignificant.

The main reason it took off was because of American doctors in the 1920's and 30's advocated it as a way to stop children masturbating. This was actually the medical benefit they attached it it as well, to stop "masturbatory insanity." Hence there is often a conflation between the medical side of it and cultural side. Doctors have been saying since it's genesis that there are medical benefits, the difference is that when it originated those benefits were stopping masturbation, and now those benefits are an insignificant reduction in the chance of catching an STD, which is pretty ambiguous in of itself. Essentially what it boils down is: If you like fucking women with aids without sexual protection, cut is slightly safer.

I'm assuming you pay for the circumcision operation in America? I'm not really surprised they push for people to have it despite the insignificant benefits if it means they squeeze a bit more cash on top of the excessive amount of vaccines and all the other shit they say you definitely need or your child will die (I'm not anti-vaccination btw, America just has twice as many as every other country for some ambiguous reason($$$)).

So if you are cut (and if there's no extra medical reason) it's basically because America's puritanical heritage is heavily disposed against masturbating. You only have to look at all the uncut Europeans, where there aren't any outbreaks of dick diseases, to realise any medical benefits are either negligible or excessive.

Performing circumcision on a child is a clear violation of one of the fundamental values of a doctor and that is that a patient has the right to determine what happens to his or her body. Further to that when making a decision the doctor must inform them fully in an unbiased way the reasons, risks and benefits of doing a procedure. The counterargument to this is that because the child is too young then the parents can make the decision for them, but I would argue that in the majority of cases the procedure is not medically beneficial as the studies done on benefits eg decreased STD transmission were all done 40+ years ago in Africa, and that was just an incidental finding and not the reason the practice was started in the first place. These days we have education, condoms and antibiotics and shouldn't need to resort to cutting off a sensitive piece of a boy's penis.

This is my story.

My Parents chose to not have me or my 3 Brothers circumcised despite being born in the late 50's early 60's when it was all the rage.

In turn, neither of my Sons were made to endure it as infants.

There can be times when it's necessary though. It happened sometime in my early 30's that the edge of my foreskin started to thicken. There is a medical term for it, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

To put it into perspective you can relate to, it becomes tight and inelastic (think those rubber bands they bunch broccoli with) and when pulled back to expose the glans, it WILL tear. Sex becomes painful because that's exactly what happens when inserted.

It FUCKING HURTS... Or, hurts fucking if you want to put it another way. I suppose the only upside to it is you last forever because it's so painful, and I found I had to finish by putting the foreskin back to normal and free hand.

My Urologist (who did my vasectomy when I was 29) said the cure was circumcision, and at the time it was not something I was willing to deal with. I suffered it for a few years before undergoing the knife at about age 36.

In the OR, while being prepped by the Nurses of the Pee Palace, the Surgeon arrived. I greeted him with, "Ah, Rabbi Fenster... I'm new at this, was I supposed to bring the wine?" There was laughter, lights out and game on.

In recovery, I told him I felt smarter already because I had to use forethought now that I didn't have a foreskin.

Recovery isn't a lot of fun. The stitches encircling the shaft, just behind the glans, look like some sort of bad-ass barbed wire necklace. You can't walk down the sidewalk showing it off either, although a pants off option would be good for the first week. Sex is off the table until it all heals, and there is no set time.

Expect to walk around semi to full aroused for the next year or so. I went 36 years covered up, and now it's rubbing on anything put in front of it. I don't recall actually having an orgasm while walking, but I suppose it's possible because of the constant friction.

As a result of the surgery, it looks like the head has been re-attached. From that day, my penis was known as Frankenbob, or Bob for short.

I can't regret having it done, and between a vasectomy and circumcision I figure there aren't any greater indignities that can be foisted upon me.

I may be wrong but this might be a cultural thing. I am an uncircumcised male and in my culture they don't cut. However, scientifically speaking, having that could sure cause some common problems later in the life of a man. Things like a short frenulum or tight foreskin that circumcised men don't face. What I prefer is to have the man decide whether he decides to have it cut or not (which should really be his decision and not his parents'/cultural thing)

Ok First off, there is not conspiracy. I have studied deeply different cultures and their philosophies and here are my findings.

In cultures or religions that promote circumcision, there is an underlying motive to make a MAN more cold and stronger. They want the child to grow into a MAN that has control over his emotions and exercises aggression without remorse.

Why ???

The way a women vagina feels that all of us enjoy during sex is the most basic and elemental senses ones body has. It is the most basic sense of touch a MAN has and is directly wired to the MAN's brain. Hence this sense of touch has a profound impact on his mental stimulation. As mental stimulation shapes the persons psyche, it has been given the most importance.

Now, when a man is circumcised he loses sensitivity to a certain extent in the head of his organ. When he loses the sensitivity in the organ which has the most effect on his psyche, he becomes more cold, aggressive and non emotional due to lack of sensation in that organ. That is why in some regions it an integral part of a child's birth. (direct correlation to violent region. ahum ahum middle east)

Second reason, when a boy is circumcised within 6 months of his birth i.e in Judaism, at that point his brain is still at early stages of development. When a child is circumcised it sends shock (through pain) to its brain. That shock unlocks some of the not so active neuron cells. Which accelerates the child's brain development.

Most circumcised men are emotionally controlled, cold, calculative, decisive, very intelligent and aggressive. I learned that through studying Judaism and Islam.
