Eric S Raymond, Open Source community giant, prominent Linux Kernel maintainer and a man of tremendous stature, sticks his neck out to warn about SJW/Feminist "Honeytraps".

I was pretty shocked to find that Eric S. Raymond, a renowned, cherished icon in the open source software community, and a towering GIANT of a man, who is a Linux Kernel Maintainer, is respected by millions, and looked up to by millions, published a post on his blog this month, warning about Feminist/SJW "Honeytraps".

For a man of this stature and of this much weight to open this kind of dialogue on his blog shows TREMENDOUS courage and I think it should be highlighted, and I think TRP should definitely give it some chewing out.

The claim is essentially that leading men in the FOSS and Tech industry are under immense pressure, exerted by opportunistic women. Including even Linus Torvalds himself. There's a ray of light, because based on the comments beneath Eric Raymond's blog post, there is a bitter aftertaste in the whole tech world over the matter, though it is kept under wraps because of how politically sensitive it is.

Breitbart and several other places have also covered it, pulling in little bits of accompanying current events to flesh out the issue in their articles.

EDIT: I think that this is a critical development, because the importance of someone as esteemed as Eric Raymond putting a voice on this matter cannot possibly be understated. The only way this could have possibly had any more potential is if Linus Torvalds himself had written the blog post. When a prominent person makes a humble, bleating complaint like this, even though it will not by itself make a wave, this is the sort of thing that, if publicised by a media storm, will make other prominent people more emboldened to bleat as well.

Men at Raymond's level of publicity and exposure can't roar, but they can surely bleat, and then it's up to the ground level ants to turn that into a demonstration.
