As far as fictional goes, Indiana Jones. I grew up idolizing him because he's alpha as fuck.

He is unilaterally opposed to fascism, nazism, socialism, collectivism, organized religion, and any other form of slavery of the mind and body. He was a true American - not in the Uncle Sam, flag waving, pro-government patriotic bullshit sense...but in the lone-wolf, anti-government IDGAF and do whatever I want kind of sense that represents Individualism.

He was extremely loyal to the men that were close to him, and had no remorse killing people who tried to kill him or fucking over enemies that got in his way. In fact, he was very good at killing people, just watch the bar scene from Raiders. He was not afraid of anybody or anything except God himself (and snakes).

His frame is impenetrable, his game is top notch, he's insanely intelligent and very high Testosterone. He's a professor at an ivy league college so his bank account is obviously stacked. All the females in his classes want to bang him, and he occasionally bangs some of them like Marion Ravenwood (who he alpha-widows) but she fucks him again in Raiders.

His missions in life (archaeology) were always his number 1 priority. The women around him were a result of that, they always just "tagged along", which just ended up happening of course because he was such a high SMV male that they instinctively just knew to trust him despite how much of an aloof asshole he was to them.

And of course he always ends up accomplishing his objectives.

Bane. Not because he's a criminal but his back story is truly amazing. The guy started with nothing in a prison. He learned and taught himself how to fight. And more importantly he taught himself academics.

I just like his back story because it's basically a big "fuck you" to anyone who thinks they have an excuse to not succeed. Fiction I know.

In real life I'll say my former six grade teacher. He was also my basketball coach. Funny story he taught us this class on how to be a gentleman. In this class he taught us about sex Ed, dating and relationships. This is when he became a role model in some way as I didn't really have a father figure.

The first day of this class he wrote on the board "chivalry is not dead." He then went on to teach us about chivalry.

13 years later I met up with my teacher at some festival. I told him I waited for years ever since high school to see him again to tell him that chivalry is officially dead and he was wrong. He busted out laughing and said "i agree with you. Had no idea how bad women were when I talked about it."

Now to be fair my teacher is still married and have been for 15 years and has four kids. I met his wife (who wasn't fat BTW) and him last week and she seemed really cool. He even told me that even when he got laid off she still stuck with him. But he admitted that most women aren't like her.

So yea I consider him a role model.

Honestly I've always looked up to Spider-Man/Peter Parker. He was easy to identify with as a kid for obvious reasons, but I always had massive respect for the fact that he always puts other people and his duties before himself. Mom's boyfriends:

One was with her for 3 years. a 25 y/o 6+foot chad who drove fast, had a decent job and adored us. I gues I picked up on his demeanours and that's a good thing.

I feel like the older I get the less male role models I have. Any action star was a rolemodel in my youth. Any intellectual in my college days. Now they are self-made businessmen if I have any to think of. Perhaps the last fictional character that almost became a role model was James T. Kirk. I liked the way he led.
