This was ten years ago, but two of my friends who were always clearly the best looking when we were in our 30s, most in shape, and with the best hair/beards ended up getting featured in that group. It’s funny how I would talk about how hard it was to get any traction at all with online dating, and they would just clam up and not talk to me about it. They were both kinda geeky too with not very good game or personalities. That was kinda when I gave up on women for a while. Don’t remember how I heard, but another friend somehow mentioned they were featured on that group but both refused to talk about it with me. One guy is still single at 43, the other settled down with a 6 or 7.

Some girls avoid men who are posted there, and other women will approach men who are posted there.

No loser guy who gets no women will be posted there. If a woman posted you there, not only did she "want" you, but her feelings were invested so much that she took time out of her day to discuss you.

Don’t worry about it. If anything, your dating life is improved if you have a reputation as a bit of cad. Obviously if someone accuses you of something awful you should take action to minimize reputational harm but too many men get spooked by the mere existence of these sites.

A local Facebook page had someone ask if a local hotel was good for family or a "problem spot". The naysayers came out and said "stay away".

Funny thing about that is that none of them had actually stayed in the hotel.

I have. Numerous times. For various reasons in November, December, January, and February of this year.

Nice, clean, no problems anywhere.

So take it with a grain of salt. Most haven't had experience with whoever the topic d'jour is.

I was posted in one last year by a FWB, another FWB from the same city sent me screenshots. Continued hooking up with both so it didn't change anything. Had a few middle aged women in the comments saying "run girl, he looks like a douchebag" and hating on my manbun 🤣🤣

Edit: I dealt with it by ignoring it. The girl that posted it never mentioned it to me and the girl that sent it to me didn't even comment on it. Live your life, go after the women you want and don't let the possibility of being posted in the group stop you from using apps.

These groups are problematic, but thankfully there are sane women out there who see these groups for what they are. 95% of the stuff on them is just bad-mouthing if not outright made up nonsense.

Your best bet is to befriend women who can scout out those groups and warn you if you got posted.

Do not use the apps... they are a cancer on society and prey on men.... they are not social media for dating, they are a for profit exploitative psychological manipulation using addictive tactics and gamified techniques to try and get men to pay money for services. But the outcome is only guaranteed if the real woman lieks you, not with how much you spent.

You have better success at going out now and beign upfront and respectful then you have the weeks of swiping and chatting with women who are gettign spammed with same attention. Its all very dystopian if you really look into it.

From what I've seen a lot of women will straight up dog pile on a crazy poster if she posts for an insane reason. If you don't have multiple baby moms, credible abuse allegations, or have horrible texting behaviors then you're good typically.

What I think is being missed in this thread is women's propensity to lie about their experience with you. Women are never going to paint a fair or accurate picture of what occurred and If you ghosted her or did anything resembling a pump and dump , expect to be put on blast in the worst possible way. I've had my work and businesses called out directly and blatant lies told about my character. If you enjoy notoriety this can be good, but overall it's not great if you have a main girl that doesn't want to see all this drama dredged up. This happened to me several times on these groups and I'm not a deadbeat nor deserving of my dating market reputation getting tarnished due to my sexual exploits that were at the time completely consensual.

You have some recourse If you get posted. If you fill out a copyright infringement complaint with Facebook, they may eventually take down the post but by the time they do, the damage will have been done. There are guides out there. Just Google it.

You can also report them on the dating app where they screenshotted your pictures as that is generally not allowed by the terms of service as far as I remember.

Not giving a fuck is horrible advice, because women won't listen to you nor listen to reason. Yes, if she goes on a date with you she is very likely to either don't know about the page or ignore it, but your pool of available women noticeably shrinks and you won't be told a reason.... this is it.

Guys here are throwing out the "people will take it seriously if you take it seriously" but that's just dumb. People will take it seriously because they don't know you and based on that information will avoid you.

Today an uninterested party can ruin your reputation without even interacting with you and there is not much you can do. But not reacting to this isn't "alpha" move, It's inaction and cowardice masked behind tough words.

The only guys I know off that have been posted were definitely doing women dirty, playing them and lying.

But if you are vetting them properly, you should be able to weed out someone who is obsessed with others opinions online with some pretty simple questions.

In reality, it actually benefits guys, because then women know others are dating that guy, so there’s an instinct to ‘win’, or they are women way outside what you’re looking for, probably with blue hair, and a nose piercing (iykyk)
